Can we pin this thread, until the 30 days are up?
With holidays etc, some fans might miss it if it drops off page 1.

Bad publicity probably scared them off from subtracting other "expenses"

Well give yourselves a big pat on the back, you tight fisted bunch.........£800?????? .........That amount was raised by the FANS in less than an hour.

obviously the stewards didn't give their time for nowt. shouldn't you be having a dig at them rather than the club?
well done cfc for publishing facts and for offering other such days. had it been me, & after making such a dance about nothing, as cfc would have paid anyway, then I wouldn't entertain other such events.

Point taken but this can be counter productive as updates that could offer encouragement can get missed, got a feeling the debate will rumble on for a while yet

I would hardly say we were causing a dance about nothing!!!!
My Dad cannot speak anymore & we are doing this to raise money to help fight this vile disease, its too late for Dad but may help other families in the future ...so EVERY penny counts.
Its taken 5 weeks to get a figure after endless phone calls & going to club in person...it could have been handled differently.
As ive said before we are grateful to CFC for letting us hold this game but to be honest its the fans that have shown us what true support is.
THANK YOU SPIREITES XX

How do you know they didn't ?
Personally I wouldnt have a problem if they did, unless they were seeking to profit by asking for more than the going rate....

Were stewards even consulted?
Were they offered the opportunity of giving their time for free?
I can't speak for them but Ernie Moss is such a popular figure I'd guess many would have.
As for 'well done CFC', this could've and should've been done weeks ago whilst their tardy, almost grudging response is as crass as your spiteful scorn.

Well said & thank you for support.
My sister nikki told the club that we knew plenty of stewards that had offered to do foc...she was told it was their job to pick stewards & nothing to do with us.
So theres your answer x

If stewards wanted to do it for free and didn't get asked. They could always donate their payment back to the fund now. Would be nice to see a donation or 2 with steward on etc
