Not that it matters but I gather the amount raised on the day via ticket sales is circa £10k, and as has already been stated it should have been very simple to calculate within a day or two of the game.

Sadly the club has so badly let down Ernie a true legend, his family, the charities, former Spireite Legends, all of The Once Upon A Smile Guys and every single Spireite fan who turned up to support these worthy causes.

You should all hang your heads in shame !

Now do the decent thing, get it sorted now !

Finally if you have a single ounze of decency get your hands in your own pockets and give a decent donation yourselves even if your so embarrassed you do it anonymously.

This above guide (2008 guide to safety at sports grounds) states 1 steward per 250 fans, so 10 stewards required. We've therefore charged £200 per steward at least £50 per hour based on a very generous 4 hour shift

Wow with wages like that I bet people are banging down the door for a job!
Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from Cfc senior management.
That 'statement' released says practically naff all.

I think the lounges were virtually full. I brought two tickets for my wife and her mum at a cost of £25 per ticket which included 3 course Sunday lunch and match ticket. They had a cracking day, and my wife's comments on hearing this were along the lines of.."you're joking"!

£25 per ticket and I'm told there were approximately 205 covers, plus wet sales, plus concourse sales.

Do you have any contact with the Three Stooges, if so ask them if they have concerns whether this is a good preperation for whay could be a very difficult season.

I expect one or more of the squad, short of match practice would hope for better

Absolutely spot on.

Sorry.

Such a tiny word but means so much.
However, most people's 'sorry's' do tend to come with time.
Time to prove they won't f**k up again. Time to prove the sorry is the truth and has substance. Long road ahead with the sorry, let alone without it.

Sorry from the club won't be enough for some, Both sides have to start somewhere without anyone with entrenched views stiring in the back ground.

:unsure:Don't hold your breath. The arrogance of the people "running" the club believe they are right and the fans can like it or lump it.

It wil be meaningless as the club will still be run in the same way by the same donuts carrying on the circus.

Excellent work once again by the DT. It's going to take more than a simple sorry to fix things. Actions speak louder than words. The Chairman needs to take immediate action by sacking the CEO who has overseen this complete mess. Appoint someone who can run a business and then mabe the confidence of the fans will start to come back. Turnipes position as has been said before is untenable.
