A cracking effort in around 5 hours. I dare say when the target is met someone from the club will suggest again that Bob's Board members are once again interfering, as with the PPP etc

Give over Ernie we won't hear a peep.
God I hate this league.

Wow, just logged in to see how things went last night after I'd turned in and I needn't have worried as reading though the thread from where I left off it went through the roof!

Massive well done Nige and to all that donated.

Ernie, Ernie, Ernie.

Further donations this morning now see the total at £2,100.

Many thanks to all.

The donations page is set up to run for 30 days so let's just keep going and see where we get to.

Every single penny will then be handed over to the Moss family and verified by the Derbyshire Times.

Thanks to Graham at the DT for making us all aware of what appears to be another massive PR disaster from CFC.

Regards Nigel.

How silly of me to suggest this wouldn't be a good idea. Good work all. Just make sure we still get an explanation from the club.

I don't think you were silly. My initial reaction was that the fans had already done their bit.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, the spotlight is firmly on the club.

I think it's time we stopped referring to the Gang Of Three as 'The Club'. We the fans are the club. Allen, Turner and Carson are just parasites, stripping the Proact for parts.

Why have I got a suspicion that it may have been one of Ernie's old teammates?

It makes me sick to my stomach that the top brass have charged a charitable event for stewarding. There was a thousand people there that would have done the job for nothing. Pretty much all the stewards are supporters so why didn't the club just ask for volunteers?
Turner. You are a disgrace, Ernie Moss is more than just a name of an ex player of your work. He's a legend of our club. Do the right thing and waiver this cost so ALL monies raised can go to two well deserved charities.
For Christ sake man your taking money away from a charity......whats next? Are you gonna want a cut of the various bucket collections through the season?

Disgraceful.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Great post and very true. I'm disgusted in it all just when I thought my limit had been reached. Well done to all that contributed and to the one who put a grand in, wow. Just fantastic.
The Derbyshire times have provided the link to donate too in their article which is good. Hopefully it'll get a lot more.
