Who have you been dealing with at the club, Karen Wood?

I'm sure it will be sorted very swiftly. Given that the game was played against TV celebs and it also involved Neil Warnock, surely the club wouldn't want them getting wind of the issue.

They ought to get wind of the issue.

HI Sarah.

This is disgusting from the club.
Ernie was a massive hero in my household when i was a young lad.
I hope nikki takes it further,it deserves more than local media.
Ive supported town for years and im not going to see it ruined by some money grabbers who cant run a football club properly.up the town

The club kept money from meal & bar & we are to have ticket money sales.
Unfortunately after weeks of trying we are none the wiser on money raised.
On top of this we have been given £2000 stewards bill.
All money from programmes etc was pure profit as were printed for free....we have banked all this money along with raffle & auction prize money....we just need money for tickets!!!!!

hello

Just to be clear, does the £2k cover stewards, use of pitch, use of dressing rooms, use of lounges?

Just asking in case I bump into somebody who I can collar.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

This allows the club to not give an excuse as to why a few stewards amounted to 2k and why they're even charging it in the first place. I know ur doing this from the good of ur heart but I disagree with it.

It will have been used to pay the bills during a quiet closed season month due to our zero cash flow. They will no doubt fob you off until next month. The ignoring of calls etc is absolutely disgusting.

Following a local newspaper report relating to the recent Ernie Moss charity match held at the Proact Stadium, the club would like to set the record straight.
A club spokesman said: “Ernie’s daughter, Nikki, was informed by our ticket office manager that the financial details would be resolved once the relevant member of staff returned to the club, which she accepted. We have set up a meeting at Nikki’s earliest convenience to sort everything out and reach a satisfactory conclusion.

“When Nikki approached our chief executive, Chris Turner, to ask whether the match could be staged at the Proact, he readily agreed to provide the facilities for the day free of charge. In order to comply with health & safety regulations, a set number of stewards were required to be in attendance, as outlined to the organisers from the outset.

"The club has an excellent relationship with the Moss family and long may that continue. Ernie is quite rightly regarded as a true Spireites legend following his tremendous service to the club over many years and he and his family are always made welcome at the Proact.

"We held an Ernie Moss Day to pay tribute to Ernie, as well as raise awareness of Pick’s Disease and generate funds for Dementia UK. We have also raised money for dementia charities through raffles and collections held at the stadium in Ernie's name.

"We will continue to help and support the Moss family in any way we can to help raise awareness of the terrible disease Ernie is suffering from."

......that might include an explanation as to why nobody got back to the family, and why the stewards cost £2k.

If the club issued a statement saying it was going to get dark tonight I would't believe them.

That's some vacation. Did they accidentally pack the club calculator away aswell? It's staggering the chairman and CEO couldn't give a simple answer of how much money was taken through the turnstiles 5 weeks ago. Who'd have thought a random member of staff would've been handed the blame for all this?

What's that smell?

Blimey - that FL AGM must've been some jolly!

Seriously though, are we really expected to believe only one person and one person alone could process this issue?
