The only positive out of this is we will play France (you'd expect)....sounds crazy but out of: Portugal, Germany/Italy, Spain, I'd take the frogs any day...in the quarter finals.

I wouldn't want to face Payet

We would have qualified in a smaller tournament. We came second. Keep up .

Look again Einstein. There are now 6 groups as opposed to four, ergo they will be more third rate teams in the groups.

What's your point?
Have we or have we not qualified? Yes.
Would we have qualified in a smaller eight from 16 tournament? Yes.
And wind your neck in.

Qualification? Thank UEFA for making it 16 from 24, rather than 8 from 16.

Reread what you put, I get you now but it's a moot point because we don't know who'd be in the group do we. Please try to be clearer next time.

Let's hope we are celebrating a place in the last eight. Then it will be a moot point,
As Bilic said, faced with packed defences, we have to run at the opposition, take them on. Someone needs to take responsibility.

None of midfield commits defenders by running at them. Just the full backs. Too much side to side. Not enough penetration.

Gi orrrr he's quality when he's on it, that just doesn't happen enough sadly for a couple of reasons.

I honestly don't care how we play, we have qualified for the 2nd round, that is literally all that matters. We play 2nd place in group F, the weakest group. Hopefully Iceland or Hungary and not Portugal even though Ronaldo's lot have looked mediocre so far.

I have £10 on Wales to win the Tournament at 80-1 so hoping for an England/Wales final to put me in a win/win situation.

Play someone decent with a bit of ambition and we will be coming home.

Play someone decent with a bit of ambition and they might come out the box and give us some space to hurt them

Bilic was spot on and the only one talking any sense. The others I'm afraid too loyal to see what really happened.

Agree, he used to be quality, but not sure he'll ever be anything like he was again though. He was shocking last night (had what's commonly known as 'Sterling's disease'.. which affects your ability to control or pass a football); thought Henderson was garbage as well.

I think England have been more entertaining than at many other tournaments in the last 20 years.

I wouldn't say the French or Germans have been any more impressive.

Even more so considering we have the one dimensional Henderson and Sterling and my tip is that Smalling will get sent off for one of his pointless bear hugs.

Agree, if Roy gets him team formation and selection right. We can't go all top heavy like we have in the last two games with more strikers on than any other position. We have to have some quality to provide the strikers with chances in the first place and some proper balance to the team if we are to stand any chance.

So far we've played a decent half in all the three games and a poor one in the other imo. Second half V the Welsh and the first half in the other two games. Not good enough by a long shot, but as you say as things start to open up and when the chips are down we could start to grow into this tournament. A lot depends on Woy for me though and how he plays it.

Certainly agree on that, but that's not saying much is it ;)

Id take Portugal over the rest of their group, they might actually have a go and not sit back. They've been worse than England, I'd think we'd have them.

I agree, we are limited, but we've dominated every game we've played up to yet.

I don;t expect us to win this thing, just have a go and try to play good football and we've done that by and large

Hungary will be the same, attack v defence, they'll play for penalties, if we get beyond that, it's more of a football tournament.
