Half of their problem is Ronaldo, as god a player as he is, they aren't a team. People go on the overlap, get in really good positions and then stop as they know he won't pass. Half the time the opposition don't go with them as they also know he won't pass. Sometimes he just has to play the easy ball and they would look a lot more dangerous in open play.

The rest of the players aren't very good but they are his team mates, he needs to take a leaf out of Bales book

Similar to that ****** for Sweden, totally consumed with their own performance that they neglect their team mates to the detriment of the overall outcome.

Hamsik is a quality player. Whatever happens tomorrow the Slovakia game wont be easy either.

Ball didnt get put in the back in that first half where we were all over them whereas they have in this game really. Think a lot of folk realised that Slovakia were a decent side, not lost back to back games since 2013 apparently and had a cracking run of form coming into the tournament.

Nope....he was left in acres to get a shortish corner then given the freedom to wander inside the box to curl it in the far corner. Pic belows shows him inside the box by a few yards.

Personally, I think we are in serious trouble. I've a bad feeling about the game against Wales and i don't think we'll get anything more than a draw against the Slovaks; third place beckons but with just two or three points....it's out at the group stage.

don't see it changes anything really, except Russia will have 1 point after two games

Slovakia all over the shop interestingly after taking a couple of attacking players off and sitting in on the 2-0 lead....not just Roy that makes that sort of decision not to keep all on attacking when winning in the latter stages then!
