Well hopefully some of us will reward the Derbyshire Times for their stance by buying th paper. I'm sure thet aren't that surprised by Turner's actions and hopefully they can capitalise on his stupidity.

Shame Peak has closed down for the summer because it would be difficult for them to ignore.

Who does Tooley write for now (apart from himself)

The club really need to make uts mind up;

“The newspaper’s coverage of matters relating to two organisations associated with the club - the Player Progression Pathway and International Academy - has had a destabilising effect on the club. Complaints have been received from sponsors, commercial partners, suppliers and an educational provider, who have all been contacted by the newspaper"

Yes Chris, but what is the nature of the complaints? I challenge you to publish them.

I suspect that sponsors, partners, suppliers, and providers object to be asked for an opinion on your activities and competence. I too would object, as I'd naturally assume that such questions should never be relevant to a CEO of CFC.

What an utterly pathetic, spiteful and childish act by someone at the Club.

So two prominent members of the CFC staff - one of whom appears to possess a history of dissolved directorships and bankruptcy - run an academy which left a parent feeling so ill used she contacted the national media, many others frustrated and angry by the lack of refunds following a series of cancelled mini-tours, a whole host of staff unpaid to the point they quit - including a former Spireite legend, has seen at least one CCJ awarded against it, a visit from a court appointed officer, embraced an individual whom the Club were then forced to hurriedly distance itself from, a Club sponsor threaten legal action, another businessman allegedly do the same and, of course, released accounts which show losses upwards of seventy thousand pounds.

Yet instead of addressing this litany of questionable behaviour one or more of those running CFC would rather 'shoot the messenger', so to speak.

Has the DT published anything inaccurate? Anything that wasn't factual?

Infact which is nearer the truth; their articles covering events at PPP or the comments made by Turner and Sutcliffe seeking to deny them?

And that's before we even mention the >ahem< 'contradictions' between Turner and (former non league player) Sutcliffe's claims to 'spireitenag' and what we've subsequently learned.

Or the list of CFC players who'd supposedly arrived via PPP on it's website which was quickly removed when exposed.

'Complaints have been received from sponsors, commercial partners, suppliers and an educational provider'

Really? So what about all the complaints of parents, employees and businesses mistreated by an enterprise strongly affiliated to the Club's brand? Don't they matter?

'Club officials have co-operated with the Derbyshire Times in recent weeks by answering numerous questions relating to the club’s association with both organisations.'

Have they? So were the DT lying when they said access to the CEO and Chairman had been blocked? And exactly where're the comprehensive answers to the plethora of doubts surrounding this increasingly dubious set up?

I didn't think my opinion of the joint directors of PPP could fall any lower. Today it has.

Who's chiefly behind this reaction would you say?

Look out for CFC Directors in the Wednesday posh seats. I suspect they've already set off for the weekend.

Nick Johnson is the CFC Head of Media and Communications.

It'd seem incredulous if he'd played no part in this, infact I'd guess he's been the faceless 'spokesman' for Turner and Sutcliffe's enterprise all along.

Just another area where the link between CFC and PPP appears to blur, if true.

Clearly feelings are running high, especially as the DT's excellent probing has elicited the response it has.

But can I make an observation?

I don't know Karen Johnson, but what her article did was allow us an insight into Turner's thinking.

And weren't we more than able to see through his clumsy spin?

Sometimes if you allow someone enough rope they end up hanging themselves.

We have plenty of opportunity to observe Turner's thinking.......

It is slow, ponderous and totally in denial. As far as hanging himself goes......no chance with his mate in charge
