I make no apologies for bringing this up again, or indeed starting a new thread... the more ive considered it today, its made me almost as angry towards the club as last saturday thoroughly humiliating defeat....

Generally, Id supposed if your going to label me in the simplistic terms used on here, one of the 'RTB'. I would aalso consider myself pro Roy Mac. But to risk a fine in the Johnsons cup, when the club pleads poverty has really made my blood boil. It laughs in the face of those fans who generously donate 50/50 winnings back to the club. If the club are so prepared to waste this cash in future, I wouldnt be surprised to see less people doing it...

Ideally, Id like whoever thought we could try this one, pay this fineout of their own pocket... Ideally id like to see the Poor groundstaff, who have begged the fans for over a year now to repay for the frost covers (that incidentally make the club money in the long run), relieved of having to further humiliate themselves, and lets see some of the club big wigs doing the begging to pay for this 3k gaff!

I really am angry about it!!!.... but rant over!!!

Easiest way to cut the wage bill is to bring in a player manager or player coach!

thats after youve sacked roy &/or richo & paid their contract(s) up. then you have to increase the pay of whichever player(s) take their places or pay for another player to come in as player manager/coach. savings? wouldnt imagine itd be alot.

I understand the football league have to look after there sponsors but would anymore fans turn up to watch this competition,i don't think so and the way they are penalising clubs the attendances will drop as a result,i for one am adamant now that we have been fined will not be attending even if we get to the final on principle.

by not attending you are only doingthe club out of money and by not attending the final (lol) you would just be doing yourself out of a good day out. Sponsors or FA won't care a monkey's if you turn up or not etc

Whichever way you look at it the club did me out of money last saturday,it is a football league tourney and the more that boycott this farcical cup then they will get the message the fans are not bothered about it,so get rid.
And we won't get to the final i am very sure of that....

Calculated risk.

You only seem to get fined if you win prize money. The maximum fine was less than the prize. We thought we were playing five of the eleven/twelve (Chief and Shaw played equal games) and the precedent was for just a suspended fine.

As it was I guess they took Shaw's starts and determined it was only four and so fined us £1500 with the rest suspended.

Still a good result all round.
