I was about to post similar. I think it is just something else to get in a tizzy about, but there is so much to concentrate on why bother

It appears he is disappointed about the midfield but hasn't he noticed teams playing through us before, especially in the last two games

It really doesn't matter. People will look to the loudmouths/organisers for help naturally whether a piece of cloth is wrapped around their upper arm or not.
Are Sam Hird's shouts/orders going to gain +10 emphasis with a 5% additional chance to improve morale if he wears the armband like this is an RPG?

Agree but we are a team bereft of leaders. What's worse is so many of them are hiding from taking any real responsibility at the moment.

Sorry that last sentence is tosh - everyone has their own standard of competence, I think we all have a reasonable understanding of what that is. Players blow hot and cold for all sorts of reasons and I fail to understand what 'Real responsibility' means in our case.

I just think we lack real quality barring Sam Hird and Lee Novak, and obviously confidence is fragile.

I mean that there looks to be a reluctance to make themselves available for passes when players are under pressure, a reluctance to pick up and go with runners rather than just marking a space, a reluctance to commit to tackles, a reluctance to play the ball out from the back, a reluctance to get forward to ensure we have players in the box or available to pick up the ball on the edge of the box and a reluctance to shoot. All this may be because they are playing to a strict plan, lack the ability or are so lacking in confidence they are freezing when in these situations. We will struggle against Bury if this remains the case. Hard job for DW to turn this round but I think there is a better chance if we set up to attack with more freedom. It's then for the players to use this freedom.

From what I have seen of late individual errors have done for us big time, so any collective plan goes out of the window. Oppositon teams have sussed us out, close em down and they struggle. If you haven't got the skill/confidence on the ball then your limitations manifest into mistakes. Our lack of movement in midfield is a big problem and if we go gung ho we get picked off time after time with the midfielders out of defensive areas. I think we are going to be very aprehensive in these final games and no amont of coaching will alter things.

The really odd thing is that those very same players overran Port Vale in the second half, and played with passion and attacking skill at Barnsley, even when reduced to ten men. That tells me that our feeble performances in the last three games is down to the manager employing the wrong tactics, because the players have shown that they can compete if allowed to do so. It's going to be interesting to see how DW sets up for the Bury game.
