Just a word to all on here.

Posts on here are obviously being viewed by worried and irate members of CFC staff.

I have it on good authority that anything that is now viewed as libel or imflammatory is likely to result in possible legal retaliation.

Therefore please be aware and choose your words carefully.

Regards Nigel.

Irate??? About what??

Airing views about our performances? Worried how this club has rapidly gone down hill in 12 months??

Season after season of success & we are losing money hand over fist!!?

As long as people aren't directly making claims about people..why they getting so irate??

Maybe we should shut this board down & write each other letters instead

Didn't they close the fans forum on the main website years ago because they couldn't take criticism???

I find it incredible that so much rubbish is posted on here in an open forum that has no credibility at all, it's all about slinging mud with very little substance to it! Cos we've had a poor season. And so many jump on the band wagon and believe it just because it's posted on here.
Careful people the vultures are circling!

I am referring mainly to posts regarding the running of the DC/PPP and the Dennis Bingham/International Academy episode.

It may be 'so much rubbish' as you put it but we are fans that care and pay what I consider lots of money that could have been spent on more important things.
We are customers and have a right to speak out about the product,if the powers that be don't like it then maybe they are in the wrong business if they can't handle criticism.

To be honest I haven't got a clue what that thread is about...but reading between the lines if that thread is upsetting them, then get on the phone to radio Sheffield or Peak & clear the air with an interview!

All these claims of gagging people etc makes it look worse!!

Only a few weeks to go until the end of the season...then I'll totally switch off from Chesterfield FC for a few months & enjoy my summer

Can you write your post starting it with " allegedly" or just change names in a "this is a fictional story" post.
TBH, I personally focus on the football side instead of the finances, BUT I back people who wish to post their views on a particular subject

If it was up to you we'd all be doing nothing but sucking the club's staff, management and players off despite an abysmal season with plenty of curious goings off behind closed doors. Do you even read those threads? Do you even take an interest in what happens off the pitch for the club you seemingly love so much? Or do you prefer to bury your head in the sand?

As for those threatening or thinking about potential legal action, if you're reading this, you're embarrassing yourselves. There are genuine fans worried about what's going on at our club and rather than address them directly you hide behind the law. For shame.

It's dangerous!

Two words there that you have used "worried" & "irate" could be interpreted as being inflammatory.

I can't find out whether this has been resolved, but I think it's a 'device' to get the website closed. The millionaire claimant can't win but he can ensure that the plaintiff incurs large costs (even though those costs might be granted back later).

I have taken care not to attribute anything to anyone by name.

My post is just made purely in the hope that neither members of this board or individuals elsewhere put anything into writing that leads to an S6 scenario.

I'm sure in the fullness of time matters will be brought out into the open and hopefully resolved to the satisfaction of all.

I'm not sure the 'watchers' in question would have the competence to put together a watertight case for the prosecution.

How can you be sure? Have you been promised a meeting and is the date of that meeting soon enough to affect peoples' decision to post?

Can't see how you can construe NIGE'S words as inflamatory
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

It is obvious that someone is prepared to throw money in an attempt to silence free speech.

So words have to be chosen very carefully.

Don't think this strategy has been thought out very carefully seeing as our CEO is involved in a 'Private venture' that really makes his position untenable in my eyes.

When officers of the Court coming knocking on the door of cfc in pursuit of a claim for damages against the Company involving our CEO then that is untenable.

Untenable Untenable Untenable.

Is there anyone out there ?

Ha ha. Very true.

We could have a vote on which particular individual most inflamed the 'Brockwell' situation.

If folk feel so strongly about how the clubs being run then the best way to protest is simply not to renew your season ticket and hit them were it hurts in the pocket. That's the only way you'll get them to sit up and take notice. To me there seems to be a massive schism between club and supporters that has developed over this season which I can only see getting wider due to the way the club's being run.
