It's a pity how Darlo folded but George Reynolds was never going to be good for their long-term health. I still have great memories of our 1-0 win there in 1995 and Andy Beasley being chaired off the Feethams pitch by celebrating Town fans.
These go to eleven.

Announced yesterday that they are moving back to Darlington next season, after four years away, sharing the Rugby ground that is going to be redeveloped

I remember the Pink Panther in front of me keeling over in the second-half due to the heat!

And the ale.

I don't remember if I was at that one, perhaps bean head could verify? I remember going there one year when a dividing gate got kicked in between the 2 sets of fans, not sure if it was the same game?

2 quite eventful games there were March '85 and April '95, even an FA Cup match one Dec circa 89 or 90 was interesting and there was hardly anybody there.

The video of the 85 match on the mudheap of a pitch has a classic nail the fat ******* shout from the crowd as Bob Newton ploughs through

the Darlo defence :windup

It also shows the perimeter fence collapsing as the fans celebrate a town goal

Still there and owned now by a local rugby club, Darlington Mowden Park R.F.C., and called the Northern Echo Arena.

I remember a gate between the 2 sets of fans getting kicked in by our lot as we were walking out, everyone just stood and stared at each other, no trouble IIRC.
