Hi Sarah, Dean from Claim to Frame, 5 Cavendish Walk, Bolsover rang the other day to say that Eoin Doyle has now signed the Bridge Inn Blues Away Travel sponsored shirt from last season and that it's ready for collection so I called in to have a look before you collected it. All the best, Paul and Kimberley x

Nice one Paul !

If it helps any, I live in Bolsover so I can bring it into town for you if needed. I come to the speakeasy at the club every Friday.

Hello Sarah,

Ironically at the weekend I came across a large photo of my grandfather refereeing a charity ladies game some time in the early 70s in Chesterfield.

The photo is of Ernie is kicking the match off with some lovely ladies from town and is resplendent in threads more attuned to the Aquarius than a pitch but, if you would like it sending I would be happy to.

If I knew how to scan and post an image on here I will happily do that first in case anyone else 'of an age' can shed some more light on the event?

Regards,

Pat

Hi Sarah, a little bit off tangent but I'm sure I remembered the other day that your dad was a pundit on Sky when we played Middlesborough in the FA cup semi replay and Steve Bruce the current Hull manager was alongside him. Steve spoke about when he was starting off in the game as a young defender he could remember Ernie knocking him all over the place, said it was a big learning curve, or something like that. Maybe another avenue to explore re things for the raffle etc?

I wonder if anyone at the club is in contact (direct or indirect) with garza and could get a copy of the famous pic of him and Ernie together at Wembley signed?

Would make a great auction piece.

*id post a copy of the pic here if i knew how!!

Hi Sarah, we are glad that you are pleased with the shirt and we hope that it makes a good amount at auction.

Best wishes Paul and Kimberley.

Drop this gentleman an email, [email protected].

Tell him that you were passed his details by a friend of his Uncle Graham's. I think Paul was in the same youth team as Gazza and was first team physio at Newcastle for a number of years. He's also good friends / in business with a certain Alan Shearer. If he's not in direct contact with Gazza, I suspect he'll be two phone calls away from him.

Good luck.
