Staveley were by far the stronger side and are now top of the league.

Neil left Staveley a couple of years ago after a spell as first team manager although I understand he's still at the college.

Thanks for the update on Neil and Staveley.

As for Liam Graham/Jack Hudson, did we receive any censure from the FA over that? Sadly, that's an entirely believable situation, and one that makes us look more 'village' than professional club.

Does Uncle Dave do a good Oliver Hardy impersonation? "That's another fine mess you've gotten us into!"

I think we got away with it but it would have been interesting who would have paid the fine given he was playing for the reserves

You do have to feel for the likes of Daniel Wong signs a six month contract (where he pays)
yet half way into it he's still not elegible to play albeit he has featured a few times !

A situation not to dissimilar to Liam Graham where our Chief Exec who stated when we nearly got thrown out of the FA cup that we are a professionally run club that don't make mistakes, condones him playing as Jack Hudson in FA registered league games

There's a bit about Daniel Wong, here http://www.coachingb...om/daniel-wong/

It looks like he was part of Precision Soccer Academy.

Just out of interest, was he at the game last night?

Lets face it a btec in sport is a wortless qualification so after 2 years you aint a footballer and you have no real skill, would be far better if they spent the morning welding as there is a shortage in this country and play football in the afternoon....but I suppose its a lot harder to sell welding than pretending they are going to be footballers.

Interesting that on Daniel's bio it states:
Daniel has trained at precision Soccer Academy since 05/02/09. From 2012 to 2014 he has attended 4 sessions per week, with two of the sessions being in a private shooting practice. During this period, Daniel did not play for any football club and only received coaching instruction from Precision Soccer Academy.

His coach report says he's been in he program since 2007. Unsurprisingly, his coach rates him as "A" in every technical and tactical aspect of the game; it's just a pity that the videos of unopposed and passive opposition show him to be a mediocre player at best.

Interestingly, the other player to have a profile on the website - Daniel Jabou - has "A" ratings to his name, and also a 6-month spell at, yes, you've guessed it - Genova Football School, Italy from January to June 2014...

I didn't see him.

I note Staveley were keen to praise their rested players for turning out

Bring back the old days of the 60s and 70s, when those deemed not to be good enough to be apprentices (ie they lived at home locally!) were invited to play for the youth (Northern Intermediate) and reserve sides as amateurs. Training every week at Pitt Street, after work, and travel up and down the country to play. However a good number were eventually given full contracts, eg Ernie Moss, Alan Stevenson, Phil Walker, Phil Tingay, Andy Kowalski, and plenty more.

How we ever got away with playing a ringer I do not know, could you imagine if he snapped somebodies leg,I'd imagine the club would be sued for tens of thousands.

Do you get the feeling that if Liam Graham were severely injured, the club weasel out of it's obligation to take care of him?

Do they have an obligation when it appears to be a reverse contract ?

According to the match reports he played under his real name for his first game in October, two weeks before we announced we'd signed him, then after this under Hudson !!

Eyesight not as good as it was but looked like hoardings on west stand as well - where the chairs and tables are stacked.

A bit of research shows that Genova Sports Management Ltd was incorporated on 08/07/15.

I'm surprised to see though that the only director listed is his 21 year old daughter, who is also a director of HD Sunbeds, incorporated on 18/03/15 and based in Eastbourne.

Are you really?

Or is it that you are surprised a 21 year old has such a large and diverse business empire?
