Probably, Danny bought Manni on because it was more important to be able to combat their height when they had set pieces. They caused us a lot of problems with their height advantage all over the park but particularly from corners.

At 3-1 up the points needed protecting and the less our next opponents know about the likes of Simons and Slew could work to our advantage.

Manni might not have impressed but he did well to keep himself onside when O'Shea should have done much better to put him clean through.

Couple of blokes in the kop almost burst when that happened, whinging that Mani wasn't trying hard enough and he'd 'given up' running when he was clearly just staying onside.

Same ones who complained about short corners all game despite our first coming from one.

Mani really wasn't that bad today; no he didn't do a lot upfront but as mentioned he was there to defend as much as anything else. If we'd been level I'm sure it'd have been Simons or Slew coming on.

Just how poor does someone have to be before he becomes bad, in your opinion? His touch is painful to watch.

It would've helped if he ran towards the ball or in the general direction of play in order to witness his touch! Three times in one move he ran into the back of a Crewe defender instead of going around him!

Have we heard this before with Armand Gnand...I am totally baffled why we bring a striker in on loan and leave him on the subs bench at 3-1.Has Mani got to be injured or banned to allow this to happen and what about Rai Simons has he fallen out of favour.

Which striker have we signed on loan?

I think he's referring to Slew, who in fact we have signed.

Thiught it was Slew coming on, as soon as we realised it was Mani, my bro says ffs its bambi on ice..... He was unfortunately true to form.

Bro Mani makes Gnandulliet look like Pele!!
Why he is getting game time I will never know.

What did he actually do that "wasn't that bad"

He put as much space between himself and the ball whenever we looked like attacking and fell over a few times..

To be clear I don't think he's a good player and without serious improvement I'd be very disappointed if he gets a contract renewal etc. I just don't think it helps when the crowd are barracking him for things like checking a run to stay onside. Have a go at him when he's actually done something wrong - like Novak was doing.

Blimey, if the best we can praise him for is staying onside when he has about two thirds of the pitch to look across then I think it's kinder not to bother.

He's not on loan, he's ours!!! (Well until the end of the season at least, if he impresses he may get a longer contract)

Two of our Directors, post match. both said Mani was sheet.

Towards the end of the game one of our defenders turned to the bench and shouted "get Mani off".

Don't think he's the answer.

Simons would have stretched their back 4 in the last 15 minutes .

Ive had a drink cant elaborate.
