Sorry Clare I can't find the 76 press of the match you are on about, and I have looked - honestly.

Found this from 72 though

Posted Image

to be fair i did post the press of a Chesterfield 0-5 tonking of Stags in the League Cup away in 71 earlier in the thread if you look, so i'm not cherry picking.

A moderator has removed my post I presume because I referred to mansfailed by the term many town fans do relating to their stance during in the miners strike....this censorship is now getting truly pathetic!

Don't tell me we can't call them scabby little barstewards anymore

you may not be "picking" but guessing from the speed of your response and the time you spend on this board, you've not lost it either

Yes Les mercifully as your post demonstrates we can still use the preferred description....

Pete kindly pmd me to explain my post was removed as it was in a string which contained a lot of profanity (though mine didn't) which is fair enough!

Can I just state how amusing it is that someone who is here solely to troll

Definition below

"make a deliberately offensive or provocative online posting with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them"

Is allowed free reign of the board yet a town fan who was posting their genuine concerns was given a week long ban/suspended posting rights?

Our mod team are quickly becoming a bit of a laughing stock. Now I don't care if this window licker "Wooly" is allowed to post or not cos it's all just puerile trash supplemented by newspaper clippings from his whank bank but our mod team's hypocritical stance is a bit annoying.

As a one off game we'd be able to get 4,000 or thereabouts for Chesterfield away. We take 3k to Notts County so why not?

The likes of Barnet & Yeovil at home just don't have the same appeal.

Just to put things into perspective re attendances when we were in the conference Histon brought 8 fans in 2011.

That's two less than Gillingham scored against you in '87

When it came up on the old Vidiprinter on BBC1 Funny as f**k

Moderators:-
(Whoever you are)

How come when I called Morgan a swear word (with asterisks as above) I got a ban whereas this Mansfield (!!!!) fan is allowed a free for all.
Do your job or pass on to someone who will do a better job surely

Correct, I said on the previous page he was trolling and should be banned, but nothing!

Don't ban him, his delusional posts is providing me with a bit of fun on a rough Saturday morning at sea.

Pull up a paper clipping from 64' or something mate, we all give a toss...promise.

I have said many times that the positive contribution to this forum by fans of other clubs is negligible. What they come out with on here is such overwhelming dross that they should all be banned, and it should be a CFC fans only forum!
The envy of Chesterfield obviously eats away at the older Mansfield supporters but there is now a generation who have grown up with little or no experience of games against Chesterfield - and probably a generation who have grown up without an affinity to their local club, hence all the truly desperate £1 entrance fee offers.

On the balance of it though we did only get promoted and go to Wembley and they beat us, so it really was a good season for them

3 games were played, both sides won one and one was drawn, aggregate score 1-1. Honours even (2/3 games were at Mansfield) = delirium for the woolly-backed troll :) And, as you say, we went to wembley and were champions!

Keep the posts on here because when we stay up and mansfailed have another season in league 2 we can relate back to his posts which say otherwise. He seems creepily obsessed by us which is very amusing. I bet he has all
Of his clippings posted on walls in his basement and a very very crusty sock on the side for when he gets a little too excited

One of your greatest moments in football is sat at home in the mid 80's watching the score of your rivals being beaten? Jesus H man how sad is that?

You see, mine are - beating Rangers 3-0 and watching it from the paddock under the stand....and going on to win the Anglo Scottish cup

Winning the old fourth division title just 2 years after escaping from financial oblivion.

Going to the old wembley for the first time in the play off final

Going to wembley for the second time, beating bury after a fantastic play off semi final defeat of our local rivals

THAT game in the FA cup

Having 3 sides of your nearest rivals ground, out numbering the home fans and winning the game.

Gaining promotion in the face of severe financial pressure and the threat of expulsion from the football league

Surviving for 4 seasons in L1, against the odds, with bucket collects and donations from the fans while having the threat of ground closure hanging over us, and that last minute goal from Glynn Hurst.

Winning the league while playing some fantastic football with John Sheridan

Visiting New Wembley for the first time and winning a trophy

Winning the league (4th tier) for a record 4th time, and a second trip to New Wembley in the same season.

Finishing in the L1 play offs

But hey, I'm sure you would prefer the memory of being sat at home in your y fronts, with a bag of cheesy wot sits watching the vidiprinter.
A new hope.
