I'll have a gander over the weekend and see what there is. I went through a spell about 15 years ago buying them off eBay. I paid no more than a fiver per programme at most. They're collecting dust up there so I'm happy to part with them as a donation!

It might be worth listing what you've got, and if it's about money raising (as it is) seeing if they might raise more through more specialist channels.

I think what would be nice would be a (or some) mini collection of 4 key programmes - 1st home, 1st away, last home, last away - all signed by Ernie, in a presentation pack to be auctioned off. I have no idea though how realistic it is for them to be acquired.

What a cracking idea. If you add the game a couple or so weeks after his debut v Skelmersdale it would cover his 1st F A cup game but also the first of his many goals
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

good on thee. I'll help if necessary, so let me know.

In my search for these programmes, I got talking to a Tairn fanatic today, who was also a printer. He says there's a good chance Ernie's name won't be in the Bradfud programme 'cos they used to have to be printed summat like 6 days in advance and McGuigan might not have decided to play him at that point. Hey ho. Any purchase might be even more collectable if Ernie's name is scribbled over a printed name.
