Because on this subject I'm bitter and twisted.

It's as good a subject to get bitter and twisted about as any

Don't like Pompey and Cook leaves a bad smell in the air, I might join you

Just been looking at the top of league 2 and thought wouldn't it be a great end to the L2 season if Accrington met Portsmouth at Wembley in the playoff final and Accrington won in extra time!

Not really as there is a compensation clause in place whereby we get a significant sum should PFC get promoted.

Not really, according to AC, and this differs from CT at the AGM, we've already had some compo for Cook, it only rises to £200k in total if they go up.

I thought the £200k was for promotion to this division, if they went up again, God forbid, we'd get a mother payment?

Didn't AC say 200k was the total package from additional clauses including promotion to the championship as well?

I'm not sure he even mentioned a further payment, unlike CT who was quite clear at the AGM. We've probably got about £122.00 up to yet!

Personally I've got no real beef with Cook. In fact I would wish him all the best of luck wherever he manages. After Portsmouth sack him ofcourse.
But seriously though. Cook did give us two fantastic seasons of football here that will live in my memory for many a year, however, I cannot forgive him for the fact that he was going at the endo of last season, that the deal was done prior to the playoffs. He left us before he finished his job here, can anybody tell me that he wasn't tapping Roberts and Ryan up prior to leaving?
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

For me it's about Portsmouth, not Cook. A few years of life in the basement will be character-building for the club.

Danny Wilson, he's one of our own.

I suppose Wigan have a claim to him too, if they wanted to make an issue of it! Born there and played for them.
