For the first yellow card, the video evidence, especially from the `away day highlights' clearly shows that Gboly was fouled & any appeals panel seeing that would surely have to rescind the card? Yes, maybe he was looking for it, but there was still contact! The second one is inconclusive and contact debatable, but it seems clear that Gboly goes down too easily between the two defenders and deliberately leaves a trailing leg behind; if there was no contact, then it was a dive and a deserved yellow card,(though I don't think the linesman flagged, and he ref was miles away so how could he be sure?). KAGB makes a good point with comments about a `negative mindset' being detrimental, and this is a good case in point; with a positive mindset perhaps Gboly could have had the confidence to `skin the full back and bang it in the bottom corner'. It's quite sad really, we've been waiting for him to shine and after a couple of awful performances were beginning to doubt his capabilities, but on saturday he was having the game of his life, and IMO it was somewhat spoiled by a negative mindset. It's to be hoped the lad learns from this experience and adopts a positive mindset for the rest of the season and turns into the match winner we all hope he will be.
