You sup in the "Tup" interesting

Not always, especially since they had the problem with warm beer a few months back, but it's one of the favourites.
We usually seem to end up talking to away supporters though. They almost take over sometimes, and always chuffed to find such a decent boozer near the ground.

Warm ale? really?
What better alternative hostelry do you use?

They had problems with the cooling system, might have been last season, but things like that leave a scar.
The Ale House round the corner has lots of good stuff if you can get to the bar, but sometimes have a drink in the Rutland or other town pubs and use a taxi.
Depends on the day, the mood and the food. That's why I don't arrange anything in advance.

If it was a continual issue then maybe but a one off in a place that is known around town as one of the better real ale places...seems silly to keep remembering it. Dont think i've ever had a bad pint in there!

From memory the cellar temperature was above what it should have been for one game early last season this obviously impinges on the product but effects lager more than ale.
For someone to remember this is bizarre concidering the time lapse. Sounds more like someone making a statement "that sounds good" and then backpedaling when realising he could be sussed.

Let's cut the cr*p, shall we?

'Bob's Board' members have repeatedly witnessed your wriggling and squirming in the face of friendly invitations from my good self. Civilised attempts to address the insults, taunts, allegations and sneers you've consistently levelled at me and my posts. They've also become accustomed to the accompanying excuses and evasions emanating from that keyboard you insist upon cowering behind.

Yet now you claim to drink in a pub only two minutes from the Proact? Somewhere our paths could so easily cross for the want of a simple PM? So what happened to all your pious 'I will buy you a pint but it's too inconvenient' rhetoric? Why didn't you accept my long-standing offer when you were a couple of hundred yards up the road?

But either way The 'Tup before the Millwall game it is, then. Or maybe The Rutland? How about The Market? Or is all this just more pompous posturing from someone who cares nothing for honesty or consistency...

PS: I'm more than happy for the Mods to move this stuff to 'Personal' or pursue it via my inbox.

At the end of the day.. do you really want to go out on the urine with Hag!?

I'd rather baste my knackers with syrup and drop a wasps nest in my kecks.

Dunno.

But Hag is definitely going to the Derby Tup, if they've sorted their iffy beer cellar out. And Roman Numerals might be waiting for him in the car park... who's Armand anyway, does he own one o'them iffy wine bar/bistros on Derby Road?
;)

Armand to Grimsby you say? Dunno about that but what on earth made you ask it on page 11 of this thread? Didn't you know that the thread title means you cant discuss that subject within the thread. Its only for fellow Spireites to have a pop at each other and keep going over the same old dross again and again and again and again.

Some interest in him from a couple of clubs but nothing concrete according to Danny Wilson in today's pre match press conference. Also no further interest in morsy.

Because I like to please myself what I do and who with before a game. No offence to anybody on here, but I prefer my own routine, if you can call it that.
But obviously, if I happen to get talking to anybody in the Tup or elsewhere and the subject comes up I'll introduce myself. As a matter of fact, whenever I've mentioned it in the past the usual response is that they wouldn't touch the Board with a bargepole because of all the slanging that goes on - that's the people who even realise there is a Message Board.
Not a representative sample, obviously, but it's as well to be reminded what a small minority we are on here sometimes.

So you could easily meet him in the tup before a game without upsetting your own routine?

It's 'affects' and you can't make lager any worse, but good beer is spoilt if it's too warm.

The tone of your post goes along way to explaining why I don't go out of my way to meet Board members. You're obviously looking for a confrontation for some reason, whilst I've only answered you in a friendly spirit. That's sad even on a message board - why would I want to drink with that kind of person?

You could easily mind your own business without upsetting your routine. If you want to meet Chris and have a good whinge, be my guest.

Don't think much to the Rutland personally these days. Maybe it's just the ill mannered & slovenly landlord that puts me off but I'd find little reason to go there above others within five minutes walk.
