It must be, but don't you want to see him pole up again just to see!

It would be just to see the effect he has on that particular club that makes the stupid decision to employ him.

Fingers crossed, the yellow stain, Edders!

really? 3 out of DW four first team defenders out injured?

Is there a connection here with our goal threat?

are you suggesting we didn't have SEB and LN fit at the same time?

I am saying DW has had both players for the majority of his games playing together. Saunders may have had them together but very occasionally as I originally posted.

God I hate this league.

If Mitch hadn't brought him here on trial, Saunders would have had no idea who he was. He was only signed because he was put under Saunder's nose

Were you not in the hub when he actually mentioned Donohue.

he couldn't seem to understand that Oxford's strategy was to keep Swansea on the back foot by going forward with pace, and they succeeded in doing that.

Pretty much sums up what seemed to be the most frustrating aspect of the Saunders school of tactics.
These go to eleven.

When he said that Mitch had brought him in for a trial? Yes

Ayup, Dave.

Dean Saunders had an entire summer to build a competitive squad, however within weeks of the season starting we witnessed severe shortcomings in several areas.

As for his signings, let's remember that O'Neil and Donahue, both now doing an impromptu job at full back, were recruited to be midfielders. As was Herd, the same Chris Herd who even those defending Saunders were forced to admit had failed to impress. Most others were far less sympathetic. E-B and Novak? The former had shown only glimpses of his pedigree whilst the latter had proven workmanlike at best. Meanwhile each and every one of these were dropped by the bloke who brought them to the Club.

And of course Martinez arrived because of his relationship with Ian Evatt.

Dean Saunders was a lousy appointment, those questioning it were absolutely right to do so. His signings, his tactics, his whole approach. It's difficult to believe anyone could make such a bewildering mess of a successful side in so few months, arguably our worst pound-for-pound boss ever.

Every manager suffers injuries and suspensions but the competent ones overcome them. Just as Paul Cook often did, just as Danny Wilson is currently doing.

I'm no apologist for Saunders, he in fact was the straw that broke the camels back in my case. Thats why I stopped attending games, if it had not been for mum asking to be taken to the Coventry game I fear I would have missed 3 very entertaining games. I don't need reminding by everyone of what happened and why I'm fully aware, I just think DW is fortunate to have the attacking options on his appointment.
