Have they changed the rules then, or is it still three point for a win, one for a draw and one for a loss. 7-1 is three points. 1-0 is three points. A single 7-1 win in a season isn't going to keep us up if we keep losing games we should draw and drawing games we should be winning.
I'd trade a 1-0 win with the goal coming from a first minute goalmouth scramble and parking the bus for the next 89 minutes followed by a 0-0 draw with no shots on target over a 7-1 win and an "exciting" 5-4 defeat the next game. As would any genuine supporter. A big win is ephermeral. It's what the league table says at the end of the season that matters in the long run.

Just take the 7-1 for what it is and enjoy. Stop blimey moaning about trading scenarios that haven't even happened. Who wants to watch a side park the bus for 89 minutes in this cack league? You're fretting like a prize wazzock over hyperthetical scenarios. Get on with it and don't be so pesemistic all the time.
