Cambridge have the money - what ever happens Armand will probably be leaving the area come end of season. Grimsby may be short term being relatively local for him and family.

And of course there is the attraction of a sea side resort.

No you did not short house.

Any more news David you like to share before i do lolololol...

I notice the number 14 shirt is being used again...

Just from memory I remember you suggesting we 'start with Ritchie Humphries, played a 4-2-4 system, that DS was a good manager (upto the day we sacked him), that we had to sell Doyle cos his contract was up in few months... there's probably many, many more.

So needless to say, as far as being taken seriously is concerned, if I wanted to be ( I don't) I wouldn't be taking advice from Hag.

But if you and the other feckwits choose to ignore the fact that I've said SEB is quality and has the qualities you mention etc etc (barring the fitness and dedication) then I couldn't give a monkeys. Knock yourself out/Ask the nurse to up your meds.

I think I must have missed that bit. Probably because you didn't post it.

I remember you saying that his goals from inside the area didn't count though. Was that what you meant?

Good post.
You (and I ) have not suggested that Blake is not a good player-he always has been! He just could do so much more (remember a few weeks ago when he was being lambasted by everyone-well thankfully he has started to score some goals).
Maybe Danny has insisted he does all the sessions with the rest of the team/I hope so as its vital for his fitness and the team.

I agree.

It is evident to me that SEB has upped his game noticably. And if he's here under the new management I'll bet he's shaved off a few pounds by May! I don't think DW & CM look like they'll put up with any slacking.

Like you I have acknowledged SEB's quality so many times that I can't be ersed going over it again. Then you get planks above saying 'you wouldn't last 15 mins in a game if you weren't in tip-top shape"!!!

My last word, for the obviously hard of comprehending, SEB is quality, links play nicely, knows where the goal is, has underachieved in relation to his talent, which in my opinion is a temperament issue. Can he find a second wind and improve fitness and dedication? Yes. And there's a good chance that'll happen under the new management.

Erm that's strange- last week you yourself claimed we should get rid of our (3) fitness coaches (we have 1).........
Just saying like

No, I actually said I hoped the players were as fit as last season because we were employing three fitness coaches at great expense.
I didn't say we should get rid. If we can afford them and they're doing the job, that's fine. Problem is, the books don't balance, and don't look likely to, so priorities may be involved.
Stand by to fight your corner. Convincing me was the easy part.

I don't do trawling. It just stuck in my memory as something so daft it was worth inscribing on a bronze plaque and putting in the Mansfield cup cabinet.

We aren't employing 3 fitness coaches though. We have 1 fitness coach, Mal Purchase. We have 1 physio or Head of Sports Science and Medicine, Rodger Wylde. We have an assistant physio, Jamie Hewitt, covers youth team, academy etc as well as assisting Rodger. Which one do you think we can do without?

"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet".

We might desperately need the three for all I know. It's the Balance Sheet that will make a decision.

If we're spending at the current rate it's unsustainable. The books have to be made to balance, and there isn't much you can cut out except non-playing staff. Let's hope it doesn't come to that, but plainly something has to give if we're to make inroads into the debt.
Or Uncle Dave will have to learn to live with it.

You also said we had dispensable staff members, and we're still waiting to hear who these dispensable members are.

Do you actually know the difference? Sports science and medicine is rehab, fitness conditioning is to try and prevent the players having the rehab. Legal requirement to have a qualified sports science person, which is why Rodger came in and took over from Jamie. I'm not see why you can't see the difference between the roles, or do you think we should get rid of Mal and Jamie, leaving Rodger to do conditioning and physio/rehab for 28 senior players plus the physio/rehab for the youth team and academy as well? You are an absolute plank.

Are you guys taking the mick here or something?
We have 1 fitness coach (Mal Purchase)- regarded as one of the best in the business.

1 physio- Roger Wylde- this is a legal requirement-we have to have one-every club does.

1 sports therapist -Jamie Hewitt- a club legend who has been here for 20+ years. A requirement for any club having a Category standard Academy.

None will be expensive (don't know how much they are paid obviously but from experience the highest paid will 'only' be on £30k ish)

We probably sp*nk more on fines.

None of these can be or should be cut- ask any of the players and they will say they are indispensable

I didn't, and I don't know. But we're losing money, the Chairman is still putting his hand in his pocket for running expenses, and we aren't going to cash in on any players for the foreseeable future.
You work it out.
