Nitpicking.

If you think it should be Aree-ee-bee so there're three consonants, then you're probably right, but if a commentator needs to say his name quickly to focus more on the action, then you can see why he's shortening it.

Just like some of us when we're saying "wouldn't" say "w'u'n't", or instead of "couldn't" we'd say... :windup

Then say Gboly instead. He kept saying Ebanks Blake and not Ebanks, is that because he doesn't run as fast? If you're right then why did they keep getting it wrong in the studio? Saying wun't is local dialect.

Probably down to us not having any full backs to stop the crosses

The bloke on Peak gave O'Neill MOM today. I assume he was playing at full back.

Heard that, but I have absolutely no respect for farries' opinion on football.

Not bashing oneil, played well last two games, hopefully getting over his dire start to life with us.

Is it a silent 'G' in Gboly? Not being a smart Harris or owt, just wondered...

Also, anyone can admit that Ebanks-Blake's a bit of a mouthful!! I like SEB, personally. It sounds cooler too. Let's ask him, and if he's cool with it just think how much more action could be commented on without having to spitting out the whole thing.

I mean, if Tara Palmer-tomkinwiddly-bubble played, I'm sure she'd be happy being called "Slapper" if we asked her nicely... ;-)

You are, of course, right about w'u'n't, and it was a bad example in this case, but syllables are cut out all of the time in everyday language, as sometimes it just sounds a bit too posh, no matter how correct it is...

I can't comment on O'Neill today as I've not been and I understand your point. I just heard him saying O'Neill was exceptional today. Let's hope he has found his feet because we have been crying out for a RB and he could be just the ticket.

Yes it's a silent G. I call him SEB too. Slapper, I like that. The thing with Ariyibi would've been ok if he'd only done it a few times but every time, started to get on mi wick.

And we are missing him next week as well now of course

I bet the Wigan scout went away doing hand stands after he was sent off

Nailed on penalty last week, checkout the clubs own highlights on Player, obvious obstruction

Danny is abolutely furious with the referee. In his post match interview, he says Bolly was definitely fouled for the first booking, obviously not happy with the the two disallowed goals, nor the foul given against O Neill near the end when he was shepherding the ball out and their player 'dived'. Not a foul he says and should have been a booking.

The first disallowed goal isn't on the Sky highlights, but the second one does seem to come off their defenders legs, not Novak. Their players seemed happy to line up for the kick off, until they realised it was going to be disallowed.

It baffles me how people get on the case of Gboly so easily when all you have to do is look at the plank who was refereeing

Boyeson is a) incompetent b) always want to be MotM.

I agree with Danny

It was Morsy that was brought down anyway against Shrewsbury.

And then Gboly...

As for today's incident: http://www.skysports...3-chesterfield. That looks like a pen to me I think but it is difficult to tell from that angle.

Well it's all opinions keith hill says Danny Wilson agrees neither disallowed goals should have stood. Danny says the second one was a goal. Second one was s goal Dales players accepted it. Novak tried to play it through a Dale player deflected it away to near the corner flag. gboly picked it beat a man and scored. The Lino did not flag . The ref goes over and discusses it and tells the Lino to put his flag up. The second pen incident would get given 9 times put out of 10 in the Premier.. Keith hill did admit they weren't in charge of the game they had to sub the full back as Gboly was beating him every time

Don't need highlights, I've been hit harder with a tissue paper, brushed past him that's all.
