Just don't understand how people can talk about players taking up a large chunk of the budget when they have absolutely no idea what that said player is on. Plus he's under contract so how do we just get rid? We either pay up his contract , someone buys him or another club agrees to take him on loan and agrees to pay his wages , now the first is never gonna happen and given the fact you think he's a waste of time , do you think the other 2 options will happen?
Of course we can't get rid (I never said we could, though I'd be looking for a way out of this mess which would allow me a budget to use in my prefered manor if I was the manager). It's silly spending like this from a manager that should never have been trusted to spend big and the boards fault for ever thinking that the manager was the right one to trust in the first place, that has got us in this predicament. I'm all for adding quality in the side and pushing the boat out a little to boost the side with a bit of added quality, but you have to have a manager that is not going to easily mess it up when you are as restricted financially as we are. The DS saga was a total disaster from start to finish and it's not the first time the board has led us down this path; Cook got them out of a massive hole which they immediately started digging again after his departure.
I never said either that he's a waste of time, I said he's preventing us from adding another good signing as we could probably sign two good players for his wage. If he's a lower mid first team earner then I would think differently. Do you think he's a lower mid first team earner or would you put him as one of our higher earners?
