They cant tell you what it will be like tomorrow neer mind next Tuesday....
You do seem to have a very unhealthy obsession with attendances and long range weather conditions. Are you a bit of a whittler?

Is that link to one of those new adult colouring book efforts that is the new fad?

Nope - just an interest in things pal. Trust you to rise to the negative bait!

Can't be true, no mention of a "big freeze" in the Daily Express

Booked two nights in Colchester for the game on Jan 30th, trains and Premier Inn paid for, now no game !!! But the main reason is I am friends with Colchester United kit man and more importantly it is the Colchester Beer Festival, the real reason for the trip !!! Will now be looking to get a new ground in, in London if FA cup draw is kind. Palace at home to some lower league would be perfect !

Train, beers etc. Should be a good old fashioned jolly boys outing.
Probably go early doors to get to see Wigan in all its finery.

We're hoping to find a 4th person for the group saver, if not three of us will probably split it between us.

According to Mr Smith who used it for Rochdale any number above 4 is workable. There should be four of us (and probably quite a few other groups of Town fans too) so if you don't get a fourth and are going at the same time as us (9.20 maybe) let me know.
More money for lukewarm tins of lager then.
It's just a decision then about whether to have an hour or so in Manchester or stick on the same train and change at Warrington for Wigan. Make sure you get the Manchester - Wigan (£4.30 return) at Chesterfield too if you're staying on as that's one of the requirements when ticket-splitting.
Think heading straight to Wigan is my preference.

Minimum four I believe. Makes it £14 each return to Manchester. £4.30 return to Wigan from there. From what I can work out there's two choices. Weirdly if you try and book Chesterfield - Wigan it directs you to change at Warrington, yet if you put in Manchester - Wigan it's direct from Victoria which is a mile away from Picadilly. If you're fancying an hour or two in Manchester and less time in Wigan you can get off at Picadilly and have a few beers before getting on at Victoria. You can get your Wigan train tickets at the station there.
If you're heading straight to Wigan you'd need to get the Manchester - Wigan before getting on to cover the added bit as you won't be getting off at Picadilly.
