1 wicket to win. Good all round performance from England. Didn't expect them to get off to this kind of start

The Saffies tour of India has shot their confidence to pieces, they are a spent force, and with Steyn injured they've got nothing to attack us with. I fully expect a series win probably 3-1.

They can't get one unless they improve dramatically.

I called the other one right. Didn't understand the odds being so heavily in SA's favour. They've soon shifted for this game.

Not an issue for me, Woakes is a weak link, get him out and Jimmy back in, Newlands is favourable to spinners but it also works for swing bowlers.

The start from England, and Stokes in particular, as been nothing short of sensational, it's quite literally a twenty/20 assault on the bowlers!

That has to be one of the most sensational sessions I've ever seen. Stokes quite simply astonishing. 196 runs for England without loss this morning!

Fully expect Stokesy to push on to 300 and JB to get 200, this bowling attack is bobbins, are they Shrewsbury in disguise?

England hang on for a draw after nearly grabbing a defeat then Amla resigns as SA captain! Been a strange 5 days in Cape Town!

Game drawn, Amla steps down as captain and de Villiers in after not long since talking about quitting test cricket...

Odd game isn't it.

AB only taking the captaincy until end of series, might go to someone else after, can't think who though, no one else in side with captaincy experience as far as I can tell.

What ovation do you get/give for 1000 runs?

Fair effort to get 1000 but you have to wonder why it was left to happen. Reading more into it it was an U15 school cup game but the opposition team was made up of 13 and 14 year olds many playing their first game, and possibly last after this, due to their school having exams so the U15s couldnt play. They had already been bowled out for 51 i think before being subjected to it.

There is apparently also some talk about the validity of the innings but i've not seen anything concrete.

Regardless of the circumstances it still takes some getting.

I played in the garden against my nephew but he managed to get me out before I got to 1000...

The hit it over the house or into a neighbours garden for 6 and out was always my downfall....when i got to playing senior cricket a lack of batting ability became my downfall.

Dont get me wrong its a fair effort to score that but something about it doesnt sit quite right with me. All seems a bit pointless!
