There's always people ready to defend an unpopular and persistently unsuccessful manager.

Just for the hell of it in some cases, I believe.

Others just convince themselves that given enough time, Saunders will improve and the issue with their opponents is their inability to see it.

Is Woods quality? Is Talbot fit enough to be a L1 player? Is O'Neil up to it? Is Herd showing premier league quality?

Do Novak and Seb work together, are they capable of playing the lone striker?

Is Banks a L1 player? Is Gardner a L1 player? Is Ariyibi a L1 player?

O'Neil wasn't so bad today. Given that he's playing out of position.

The whole side look confused and totally demoralised.

*I thought ariyibi might be the real deal, hard to tell at present given the manager has turned them into a bunch of self-doubting quivering wrecks, but he's been a real disappointment.
