I have tried to PM you but your inbox is full. Have you the accounts handy? How does the interest figure in 2015 compare to the 2014 figure?

Cleared inbox.

Same applies to Cook. Demanded £2.5M? Like the players accused of forcing exits he wasn't there to confirm or deny it.

CT said that PC wanted an additional 4/5 players, which he claimed would take the budget up to £2.5M.

I should think that would catch most people out. Shouldn't the Directors be paid their interest and then have to pay the tax due themselves? How can it be down to the club to pay tax on money they're paying out?

As I posted above, a company paying interest to an individual has to deduct tax by law, and then pay it over to HMRC. The recipient then declares the interest gross on his tax return, but with the basic rate tax deducted.

heyup Ode lad.

CT did very well last night but in addition to the story about Doyle, he did actually contradict himself. He said both that DA would need to inject £300k next month and that this year for the first time in ages he hoped that borrowing wouldn't be needed. To be fair to him, answering questions on the hoof, I think his first remark was in support of his Chairman to prove DA's ambition. He was exaggerating and I'll let him off.

We also learned that (and I think this is accurate), we'll get £200k each time Portsmuff are promoted whilst PC is under contract.

The Auditor readily agreed to list all items of expenditure to account for the £2m quid spent over and above listed costs, and they all seemed bona fida.

Can you pass on details, Dave?

Thanks, mate.

Look, regarding CT I'll repeat on here the opinion I've said to you in private: nice enough bloke, approachable, friendly, often quite candid and no one can argue he hasn't extensive experience in football. However a classic example of an ex player being promoted way beyond his abilities for that reason. Unless I've misinterpreted it appears last evening began to see an admission of that, on a number of levels.

You might be right, but I find it impossible to reconcile that view with the fact that DA swears by him. It just doesn't compute. He majors on having good people in charge of his companies.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

So in other words what every manager wants.

Okay, thanks, Mike.

So to summise: unless DA appoints someone versed in accountancy and business practice the bailiffs will be turning up...

How can any credence be given to a business plan with no accountancy control within the daily running of the business. If it is only a part time position whereby they visit once a week at least forecasts can be given to stop over spend and really B****Y stupid surprises which I cannot comprehend in any shape or form.

We have a board where business people seem to throw out all business protacol when it comes to football.

Looking at the current squad I struggle to see 2 or 3 saleable asset which the business plan in pinned on. Please tell me I have got this wrong.

Finally have we stopped haemorrhagein losses as a starting point.
God I hate this league.

So if someone is due £100k, we should hand over £80k and then keep back £20k to send to the taxman.

So, did we overpay and hand over the full £100k, in which case we are owed £20k from the recipient or did we hand over £80k and not send the taxman his £20k?

DA will never be able to sell as his run the business in such a way that he will need £9m for a £5m business.

It's going to end in tears.

Like someone else said, AFC Chesterfield.

I'd probably agree with that (maybe not the number but the sentiment).
That's why they're the top teams, because they win when they're *not* playing well.

The top teams are the most consistent ones so it's an odd statement
