As I posted above, a company paying interest to an individual has to deduct tax by law, and then pay it over to HMRC. The recipient then declares the interest gross on his tax return, but with the basic rate tax deducted.

Look, regarding CT I'll repeat on here the opinion I've said to you in private: nice enough bloke, approachable, friendly, often quite candid and no one can argue he hasn't extensive experience in football. However a classic example of an ex player being promoted way beyond his abilities for that reason. Unless I've misinterpreted it appears last evening began to see an admission of that, on a number of levels.

You might be right, but I find it impossible to reconcile that view with the fact that DA swears by him. It just doesn't compute. He majors on having good people in charge of his companies.

How can any credence be given to a business plan with no accountancy control within the daily running of the business. So if someone is due £100k, we should hand over £80k and then keep back £20k to send to the taxman.
