Not too bothered about Walsall, who we can beat and should at least bring a few, but it would have been nice to draw Salford or similar to cash in on the TV money again.
Newcastle away in the third round is what I'm looking forward to.

Always my first choice should we get to the 3rd round!

"Ticket details for the game have also been announced. Entry for any area of the ground will be priced at £12 for adults and £6 for concessions."

That's a terrific gesture and something the Club should be congratulated for.

Infact if hospitality packages are as equally generously priced Dave Allen can have the pleasure of my company again!

Nor me. I'd no problem with them getting on tv the first time (and although I've slagged off the tv presentation on another thread, none of that was Salford City's fault). However:-
a) Unless Ian Wright is gagged I'm sure that I'd want to throw up listening to it
b) Assuming we are still looking at £67,000 a shot, why do the least needy non-league club left in the competition get two shots? In the last round, I'm fairly sure that their side cost more than Notts. County's - not that that ever got a mention.
c) I still dislike Welling from their early confrence thuggery days with Nigel Ransom etc, but what exactly did they do wrong? That looked an obvious pick along with Grimsby.

Oh, and we'll need to play as well as we did last time at Walsall. They looked a class act at their place, playing football that looked a lot like us last season. Beautiful on the eye, but not much finish. Tommy made a couple of blinding saves to keep us in it. I'd guess there are a load of scouts watching Walsall every week atm, not just the one from Brighton who was looking at Morsy again.

Not as obvious as picking, for a second time, a team that is going to interest the bucket load of both proper and armchair Man U fans due to the "Class of 92" link so will likely get a big viewing audience.

Yes, you are probably right. Pity viewing figures and money comes into all this.

What the ex Man-U players has done deserves credit. They've put money back into the game, and look to be enjoying the whole thing. It's the BBC brown-nosing that's got my back up. It's not as though there is a load of advertising revenue at stake.

Speaking of 'brown-nosing', and apologies for going off at a tangent, I tuned into Talksport's breakfast show for the first time in ages this morning only to hear Phil 'golden' Brown's dulcet tones.

He seems to be that station's go-to man on the rare occasions they discuss non-Premier League football (Colin Murray's excellent show excepted, of course).

Usual back-patting, excuse-laden, 'doing a great job' kinda stuff and I remembered why I'd stopped listening to Alan 'freebie' Brazil when he said he'd turn up at a Southend game to be told 'There'll be a couple of tickets waiting for you' by the permatanned one.

Alan Brazil is a free loading mongrel, id rather be waterboarded than have to listen to him and Henk Potts talking about freebies champagne and owt for nowt.
