3-1 to the away team, if DS picks his strongest XI

Wow!!!

So here we have a club who quite rightly go out of their way to pacify the locals after their move into the area (even going to the extent of employing stewards to ensure people don't park where locals may want to) but whose followers decide to hold a gathering of 1000 +/- people (is it legal) in a public park on a dark November night no doubt scaring little old ladies whilst carrying out their dog ablution duties and causing needle pushers gathered by the swings to get that hyped up and double the nightly dosage Yeh good community inter action lads. But then you're going to march into the ground claiming to be some sort of heros or martyrs. Yes, you will achieve publicity and some sympathy, but in reality the majority of people will consider "what are they trying to achieve?" and come to the conclusion that they are making fools of themselves in chasing a "Red herring." For once (this is a rarity) I have to agree with Cartmans well articulated posts on the subject.

May I suggest you add to your fantastic (they are truly impressive) array of flags by adding another emblazoned with "FCUM Media Whores"

If we take your suggested line we'll leave all our best players out for the rest of the season and ban them from training; as long as they're careful to avoid accidents at home they'll be completely safe! Brilliant idea, I wonder if DS has thought of it?

A change of subject whilst watching Didcot v Exeter, it leaves me wondering Sophy if you have had a few good nights in South Oxfordshire!!!

Funny you should say that as I spent my student days (or mis-spent them!) in Oxford and surrounding area including Didcot. To illustrate how long ago that was, I used to watch Oxford United when Ron Atkinson (and brother Graham) played for them. You've sent me off down memory lane now.

I read on their website about their 'parking stewards'. If they try to prevent me from parking legally they better be prepared to move aside or it could get messy.

Even though I've openly put us down for a poor result, we really should win as long as we aren't a load of pigeon-hearted softies (thought I'd coin one for DA seeing as we don't even know if he's still on this planet or not!); the trouble I've got with us though, is that's exactly how I see us, hence my prediction!
One things for sure they won't be a team full of yellow bellies like what we are (again, I'm only really talkin' from home experiences here, as I've only been to Rammel Lane this season seeing as the home stuff hasn't exactly inspired me to get off my @$$ and waste a day of my weekend (plus all the expense of it); to witness the type of stuff I've witnessed at home. By all accounts it could be miles apart, but I've only really got to go on what others on here have said.

IF we can't get hold of the ball tomorrow night in midfield and pass it around a bit then I've/ we've no hope of see/doing it.

I still think we are in for a really tough night. Still looking forward to it in a nervous way as I don't want a Nott's style showing up to a bunch of nobodies (with all respects to them) on live TV. That was really embarrassingly bad from County and I pray we're not a bad a team as them, they really are spineless!

I'm with you, and I'd settle for an exciting draw any time.
It should be fairly easy for managers and players to convince themselves not to take it easy against lowly opposition, fight for every ball, and bring the extra skill into play. Trouble is the head games very often don't work - there's always the lingering feeling in players' minds that it's a stroll, even if they don't acknowledge it to themselves.
Just like the fans really. I might pretend we're in for a fight, but deep down I'm sure I think we should stroll it.

One small fact that we had half the team change since then. However if DS takes it seriously and fields his best first team
then I reckon it should be a 2 - 1 win for town.

First goal will be important. Anything less than 100% commitment and we are out.
