I'm sure it would be better if they sold tickets over the phone or on line so that anyone could get one not just people who don't work or can get time off

Also if you believe all the crap some spout on here about not going to any more games because of the crap manager there should be loads of tickets left unsold anyway.

Yes because getting my season to grow wings and fly to town for someone to go get me tickets is a process that definitely "isn't difficult"

I don't have a season ticket btw - hypothetically speaking.

Maybe contact the club tomorrow, they may be able to do something.

what better way to ration the ticket sales to "true supporters" than to limit sales to those willing to make the extra effort to get down to the ground to ensure they get one...........

:windup

Agreed, there's a few of my mates who are ST holders but can't get to the match because of work, so I think there will be those in similar position which should leave a few tickets left for general sale.

I have given my season ticket number to my mate to try and get me a ticket as I live in Manchester. Surely this will be accepted, always has been in the past

And those who work.
I'm looking at options for the home end as I live in manchester. Might pop over there and queue up on Friday morning if any make it to general sale, I've got this week off work luckily.

A few ideas. Get an agreement with mates to take in in turns for games you might have to queue. It might mean days leave or half day but.....

At the last home game before a draw give your ticket to the person who might have to queue if we get drawn away. Prior preparation and planning etc

What, when 1st announced seemed to an absolutely cracking draw has turned into a bit of a non event.

In what way? Sympathy to anyone who doesn't get a ticket but wants one, but if they've announced its purchase by queuing only then that should be it?

Forgive me for not reading all 10 pages of the thread, but did the club inquire about moving the game to the Proact to ensure a larger gate (and split the proceeds accordingly)?

Only if demand for all STH's to attend is measured, of course.

Apologies if the point has been raised in the previous pages - it's sometimes difficult to KUATB ;)

With how FCUM are, they would have rather not played it than that being the case

The FA stopped clubs switching ties to alternative venues a few years ago. It has to be played where it's drawn to be played!

Ah... I've been out of the country for more than a few years, so missed that announcement. Thanks for clarification.

It was actually brought in for the 2003/4 competition. Following an increasing amount of requests etc, culminating in Farnborough moving a tie to Highbury, the FA closed the loop holes. From that year all clubs on applying to enter the competition must provide various info on ground capacity, safety measure, facilities and schemes for accommodating large clubs. Also the local authorities and Police forces must state their willingness and abilities to host a tie whoever the opposition is.

Ex-pat out of the country, out of the loop and not a subscriber to the FA Cup rules update PDF...yes, I'm out of touch.

Which is exactly what can be said of some of your posts. Keep smiling! :)

Don't think venues can be changed now - FA ruling.

Was more along the lines of as if FCUM would consider switching the tie even if they could, with what the club stands for.
