Great news for those of us who don't live in Town /s

And those who work.
I'm looking at options for the home end as I live in manchester. Might pop over there and queue up on Friday morning if any make it to general sale, I've got this week off work luckily.

I sympathise with the club on situations like this. No matter what arrangements are in place they can never satisfy everyone unfortunately.

Perhaps a number should have been held for telephone sales.

So .............. how early will I need to be there on Wednesday morning to stand a decent chance of getting a ticket? All thoughts welcomed: I really have no idea.

Thank you guys :)

what better way to ration the ticket sales to "true supporters" than to limit sales to those willing to make the extra effort to get down to the ground to ensure they get one...........

depends what you call a decent chance?

If you want to almost guarantee one, I'd get there 5/6am (I'm sure some will be doing) but if you were to get there say 8/9am I'm sure you'll be fine.

Maybe someone who lives close to the ground, or drives passed on their way to work could post on here say 7am Wednesday and update on queue length? (I can take a detour and drive passed but that wouldn't be til about 7.45am)

I did with the Derby game situation last season, but I definitely don't in this case. It's not like there's thousands of tickets to deal with. It's 600. They must know that a proportion of fans either don't live in the town, or even more likely, can't make it to the ticket office during normal working hours. Make some available over the phones or online, it's not rocket science.

Thanks LuSiVe and Spire-Power. Looks like a bit of an early start Wednesday then. Only got to come form Sheffield though, so not too bad.

And Sammy Spireite too :)

I shall plug all answers into a model and derive the mean average (or maybe the mode would work better) and come up with a Proact arrival time. Or I could just send down my elderly parents who live in Town?? They get up at daft o'clock anyway

I agree with the phone bit. 500 for walk ups and 100 for phone sales isn't difficult to arrange.

but how do you ensure the 100 phone ones for 'distance' spireites don't go to anyone who lives within spitting distance of the ground? set up an exclusion zone? 5 miles? 50 miles??

Giving everyone equal opportunity as they have is the only fair way giving the timescale available (unless you're not an ST holder of course!!)

It wouldn't. But it'd give me a better chance than 0%...

I wasn't suggesting that. Just an option to at least try and get one on the phone regardless of where you live. I'm sure we have a few exiled season ticket holders as well as folk who live a stones throw away who cant get to the ground. Just gives those season ticket holders a chance.
