If Alan Biggs' recent tweet is anything to go by, it looks like we will only be getting 500 tickets for this game.

Surely just putting them on sale to season ticket holders isn't the right thing to do here. The demand for the game is likely to be well above 500, and i'd estimate demand will out-number what's available by about 500 (at the very very least).

As i've mentioned in another thread, why not give priority to those who make the trip to Fleetwood this weekend?

I like many other season ticket holders have made most away games this season (some of the followings compared to last season have also gone down) - There has to be some sort of reward for this.

No need for a points system as such, but maybe a case of as follows: Season ticket holders with ticket stubs from the Fleetwood game (Day One of Sales) - Remaining tickets go on sale to season ticket holders on a first-come first-served basis.

It may be that there are more than 500 who go to Fleetwood too - but you would imagine the majority would want to go to FCUM.

For some daft reason I kept my stubs for every away game bar Rochdale, a lot of the youngs un on fb were urging fans to vote with their feet and stop away from the games. Are they intending to come back on board now.

FCUM Radio, available through their website (currently commentating on Manchester Premier Cup match at home versus Glossop - winning 2-0) saying word is that BT Sport want the game on Monday night.

The commentator, Swampy, says that BT Sport should pay for Spireites to have afternoon off work and their travel costs to compensate you guys.

Just trying to tie in with their attention seeking about televised games. If it's decided before tickets go on sale then people buy them knowing fully what they need to do so it's their own choice. Also chesterfield to Manchester doesn't need an afternoon off work.

I presume he was coming from the angle that it's pretty well known they are well supported and the game is highly likely to sell out quickly.

what about those who were going to Fleetwood but their partners want to go to the Solid 60s Spectacular in Stoke instead

Isn't that Monday the AGM night? Is Swampy a pseudonym for Uncle Dave and is he trying to fix it with BT so no one'sat the proact to ask any tricky questions...

We actually end up making a loss from it due to player bonuses.

Something I've just found for last season is quoting £67500. It doesn't state if per tie or per team but another article is quoting the same stats as amounts earned by one particular club so it could be the latter.

£67,500? That's nearly as much as the total yearly profits.. Next year is gonna be a good financial year with that windfall!!!!

I can see why some may see this as a "tiresome" thread. But those like me who make the majority of away games, but could be likely to miss out due to such a small allocation just isn't fair.

A biased viewpoint, but that's mine anyway.

Given the fact its looking likely to be a Monday night game now anyway would stop all my chances of going anyway I think!

Can get the train for £13 return but no point even thinking of booking anything. 500 will be snapped up quickly enough even for that date I reckon.

If it's a Monday evening tie, as its suggested it will be, I can't see it being possible to get a return train after the match has finished.
