which is enough, you pay for your seat for 23 home games and get them at a discount - to expect more is a bit 'needy'

No one expects more , it's the club that decides the perks. If they didn't say away ticket priority I'd still buy one. Like you tho I'd scrap the priority thing for season tickets ,but maybe start a points system , I just think it's pointless moaning and calling for the system to be changed when the season has started.

They get a full season, 23 games for the equivalent of paying for only around 17. So, paying up front gives you about 6 games free - it's something like that anyway.

And the opportunity to get a season ticket is open to everyone.

Given that the club run promotions for cheap games at a number of matches which simply sees non season ticket holders sitting in the north stand for a few games it negates some of the savings for season ticket holders over others.

Yes, I agree.

By the way, I am a season ticket holder and have been for 26 years. I was just saying what perks season ticket holders get.

Yes. Majority of the tickets will most probably go to company's who sponsor the club. From CFC point of view they will try and look after who puts the most amount of money into the club. If we get 500 tickets, I'd guess at only half this amount going to ST holders.

Fortunately some of your previous examples of preaching "morals" will exclude you from jury service in this case.

Perhaps the only fair way would be to sell to S.T. Holders starting with the "longest service" and working back in 5 year increments

Whatever is chosen some will deem it unfair then if the club change it and do it differently someone else will whine about it being unfair. No way will suit everyone.

Open sale. First come first served. 1 ticket per person. If you want one bad enough you would get up and queue.

@AlanBiggs1: Meanwhile, looking quite likely that Chesterfield's FA Cup tie at @FCUnitedMcr will be live on BT Sport on the Monday night. #Spireites

Well I can't envisage the directors, VP's etc. mixing it on the tarmac with the rest of us. there is a very adequate stand with directors area which will accommodate our upper echelons without impinging on the "terrace" quota.

Time for a photo eh! MD

One of the reasons people buy a season ticket is in the hope that one year we have a good cup run and if we play a "big" club you are almost guaranteed a ticket etc. It's not about people being needy that's just historically that is the way it has always been and the club won't change it, why would they. Any other alternative would probably need to be administered in some way and there would be a cost to the club and the people that would be against change would be the ones that put their cash, in advance, over the counter to keep the club ticking over. It wouldn't be very good PR or a commercially sound decision to take in my view

Only reason I buy one, much rather buy on a match by match basis

Cartman is being very anti-needy and very wrong again

Can get the train for £13 return but no point even thinking of booking anything. 500 will be snapped up quickly enough even for that date I reckon.
