Lots more worthwhile things to get annoyed at

He is a slut though isn't he. He leaves a club whenever he does slightly well at the first calling, he was chatting to DA and CT after his Crawley team lost 3-0 presumably about becoming manager here and now he's doing after dinner speaking whilst he's employed by us (doesn't bother me that much but it's fun to add in). I reckon if I chucked him 30 quid he'd go down on me.

Sorry Bonnyman but it doesn't look good, or indeed come across as a good example to set. Maybe I'm being picky but it comes across as poor.

How bad does he need the money is a question , perhaps he likes reflecting on former glories as a manager / coach he is awful and thats the only thing that matters.

I'm afraid you might be disappointed if you are hoping to get a gobble off him for £30

He charged me fifty and said the price would go up the more practice he got.

Or perhaps he was simply honouring a commitment before he accepted our job, better preparation than getting hammered in the Barley Mow week in week out on a Friday night

I'd be fine with him getting hammered week in week out if he actually won us football matches.

He often refers to his time as a player in his interviews. ....so yeah i think he just likes bigging himself up.

It might when he's got one in Llanelli the night before the Fleetwood away game.

Cook may have been abit of a liability off the pitch, but he more than made up for it on the pitch and during his interviews. So depressing to think what could have been this season.

Just think IF we'd have kept Doyle and landed Johnson (the one that really manifested Cookies issues imo) and had still failed to go up last season, then this one we really could have seen us in the Championship as that team would with Cook at the helm would really have shown this league what total football is all about! A bit of balls from DA and we really could have hit the jackpot! And now we look like playing division four dross in front of three and a half thousand next season.

Why though?
What do you think managers do on a Friday night?

I'm working on the premise that it's a game where the team may travel Friday pm and stay over.

I would expect the manager to be with the team if that was the case. Wouldn't you?

I would expect the manager of a professional football team to conduct himself similarly to how he expects his players to behave, ie quiet night in, or at a hotel, little travelling and a good nights rest. Anybody referring to Cooks antics, and of course he delivered the goods, is overlooking the fact that those issues eventually had a part in his downfall here.
For our manager to be giving not only Friday night "how's about this for a story folks" seminars and running the rule over other league teams performances on Sky TV on a Sunday morning whilst we are involved in an alarming run of results and performances is unprofessional in my view.
His job is here. And regarding the comment that it might have been a prior engagement then he should have either pulled out and accepted the costs or rescheduled at a more convenient time.

Well that preparation certainly didn't affect cooks ability to manage , did it? if people would prefer a more professional guy but play horrible football and not win games then more power to you. I'd rather have an alcoholic clap ridden womaniser and play cracking football with brilliant players who win games.

Say you're a fireman and your shift is on a Saturday after a day off-would they need the boss to be there the night before?

Substitute fireman for any job really
