Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Tendayi has been called up to the Zimbabwe international squad.

I wonder if there was a clause in the sale with regards to additional payments for international caps

If so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't know he qualified for them. We could be in the money

Fairly sure they were trying to get him to play for them for a while now so the club will be aware its been on the horizon.

Yep. However, Zimbabwe's squad is sh** so the buying club would've known it's very likely he'd be getting a cap soon so any money from that clause would've been minimal.

Yeh probably, i also notice they were chucked out of the 2018 world cup qualifying for not paying a former coach!

Any clause would've had to have been agreed on so if we requested a clause that said "if Ten plays for Zimbabwe we get £xxxx.xx then they'd have probs guessed that he qualified for Zimbabwe lol

If we put "international call up clause" I'm pretty sure Burnley would be intelligent enough to google "Tendayi Darikwa" and see he is eligible to play for Zimbabwe

He's bound to get an international call up, provided their federation don't still need bungs to 'arrange' a cap.....

The story is that he got a call up earlier in his career but he 'declined' it because an official wanted a back hander to process the paperwork.

Similarly, Morsy is bound to get a call up if he goes up a division. A payment for that is a must in any negotiations, and it's a win win win situation because a call up will also increase his value for whoever buys him, so we deserve a %age of it.

Why couldn't the clause be "a full international" cap. A non specified clause? I've never seen a contract so I don't know but if I was doing town end and I knew he qualified for Zimbabwe is do everything I could to hide it and make it vague
