Driving instructor and diving instructor. Doesn't seem to be a lot between the two roles!

Adam Rundle has been sacked as player/manager at Norton FC, after three games! They were knocked out of the FA Cup last weekend three days after losing a Northern League game 8-0. Rather begs the question, what was his other result

They probably sacked him for the playing part rather than the managerial side.
These go to eleven.

I thought he was quite good for about two games then I realised my initial opinion was wrong.

Turns out Mark Stallard is currently having a rather good cricket season for Rosehill Methodists CC in Division 8 South of the Derbyshire County Cricket League....currently sits 7th in the highest runs scorers in the whole league for this season.

I bowled Nick Wright the other season, the lad who scored the winning play-off Final goal for Watford at Wembley. He wasn't a bad bat - was it Langley Mill he plays/played for?

Yep played against us probably the same season. Also played against Tom Curtis a fair while back now, he turned out for West Hallam and was a very decent batsman.

hmmmmmmmm

I caught Ryan Williams out at slip on Hasland Park once, clean as a whistle and he refused to walk saying it didn't carry - might have called him a cheating 'something'

He played for Blackwell - he was also an excellent junior cricketer

Shame he was a complete knob! (and one of our most over rated players ever by the fans, his subsequent fall down the leagues proved he wasn't up to much!)

Beautiful delivery on Walton Dam. Left hander IIRC and it pitched leg, turned away and beat his outside edge and clipped the top of off. He'd got tons two of the three weeks before.

All that because of one disputed catch in a cricket match on hasland park?
To be fair Williams must have had a pro career around 200 games with a few goals thrown in, and he played pro for a couple of clubs after us so I think you may be being a tad unfair.
If you do what you always do, you'll get what you always get.

played against him loads as a junior and after

never did anything to convince me he wasn't a complete knob

played pro for a few clubs after us and went down the leagues fairly sharpish

massively over rated due to being a local lad and playing in a poor side

Not so sure it was a case of over rated but he certainly got away with more from the crowd for being local. Say he tried a pass and it didnt work he would be applauded for trying it whereas some other player would get some grief for the same sort of thing. He was steady enough but nothing brilliant.

As for cricket i never really played against him, my only experience of him was a net session once at Queens Park on a Saturday morning run by Dick Suttle. Most of us got about 5 mins batting with a bit of coaching whilst he was in for ages getting extended coaching.

I struggle to believe you've ever bowled anybody....
