We ain't signing this lad or Angel to bench them. Sami is going, and I'd guess with everyone's blessing, fair play to him for keeping quiet and not forcing the issue publicly.

Now, we need a massive fee for him.

And a versatile full back.

Maybe I'm being super optimistic (and to be honest that's not like me after 50 odd years of watching town) but I just can't see Morsy leaving - not yet. To my knowledge we haven't had a bid anywhere close to our valuation - so lets not push him out of the door just yet. (Hope I'm not on here in 2 days bemoaning my stupidity!)

Could maybe even go 4-3-2-1 rather than the 4-2-3-1 we usually play.

.................Lee..................
.Drew...Hird...Evatt...Jones.
...O'Neil..Morsy..Martinez...
O'Shea.......................Novak
..........Ebanks Blake...........

Would give Morsy a bit more freedom to get forward and get into the box as well.

I thought Hills comments were quite interesting at the weekend -'league one legs' he said of Mr Morsy. Now this is only one mans view but maybe he's not considered athletically dynamic enough for a big fee to a championship club by those in the game? Plus he gets booked a lot !

Thinks he has come here as a midfielder, he thinks is his best position and wants to play in the position

Suddenly a lot of midfielders?

Three?

This could be the end for Talbot / Gardner

After seeing the match on Saturday Drew is either not fully fit or this is the best we can hope for from him, either way we need a replacement fullback.

And Gardner is just not good enough for this league he was the weakest link on Saturday, Boly was so much more effective when he was brought on.

To balance that, Gardner did ok at Shrewsbury whereas Gboly came on and did nowt.

Edit: Poor Geography!

Well Morsy did feel the need to go out himself and employ a running coach last year didnt he so he obviously thinks he needs to work on that part of his game.

I've heard it said that some of the scouts that have watched him think he doesn't track back correctly? I suppose we all see things differently. I'm just hoping he'll like the signings we have made and think it shows ambition

It wasn't our resident hamstring specialist by any chance was it?

Assume you mean Carlisle and Shrewsbury where Gboly struggled against some robust basic defending.

If this Oneil has as good a town career as the one we signed from Leeds no one will complain

I couldn't agree more. The way not to demonstrate to the Board that we want Morsy to stay, and be the lynch-pin around which to build a very good team, is for supporters to shrug their shoulders, as most do on here, and to say he's off! The message to the Board should be 100% clear from Spireites Debate. It's simple DA, unlike Darikwa, who handed in a transfer request, this has not happened with SM, who, as I understand his position, has said to DS that he wants to stay, provided that the Club invests in the right areas. That, it seems to be doing, much to the disappointment of some posters, I suspect. If you practise what you preach DA, give him a significantly improved contract, if it's not already on the table, and let's move on.
