Chesters the ale house

Heard this morning that chesters is closing,the owner is retiring and sold the premises to the gas and hire place.New watering hole required then.

I find red lion on moor alright up top. Rose & crown has a good atmosphere out back on a matchday.

Been going to cheaters since we moved ground. We have tried the rest and chesters is far the better pint.

Used to be Whittington moor British Legion club then changed to whitt moor social club ,then Jeff bought it and called it Chester's pitty to see I go though .

Snobbish Imperious comments............its run by good people....good pint....cheap prices.....always have the early kick offs on TV to watch. Have used all the watering holes on Whitt Moor pre match and use Chesters more than any other. I for one will miss it when it closes.

Given the array of options to a drinking man (or woman) in Chesterfield this place must rank slightly above sitting on Stand Road park with a bottle of cider.

Snobbish or not this place is a dump. If it's a pound a pint then that is a redeeming feature.
