Getting greens is the only reason I post.
It lets me know everyone loves my input
It's not the despair. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand.

A rudderless, leaderless shambles.

4 days and counting.....
Realistically even if we see new faces, you can't expect to throw them in on Saturday, so we have what we have and are effectively writing off the start to the season.

Yeah let's not bother turning up Saturday.! stop crying like a girl and support the 11 players who wear the shirt regardless of Wots happening off the field. If u can't bring urself to do that stop posting the same stuff, we all know ur opinion

If you keep turning up and lining their pockets and let them keep mugging you off where's the incentive for them to change?

If 3000 home fans turned up they'd be compelled to act wouldn't they?

If 7000 home fans turn up it'll be all smiles and cigars in the boardroom.

I don't go to line anyone's pockets, I go because I love the club.

If we had 3000 turn up we be bankrupt and back in League 2 or worse.

Not in the space of a week we wouldn't.

If you love the club you should fight for what's right.

A £6m turnover plus £3m in transfers and the squad we've got isn't right.

I think most fair minded folk think that everybody at the club is working as hard as they can. Summat has stopped the influx of players but we have to trust their judgement and be patient.

Perhaps you or Fishini should start a conspiracy thread and then all them that don't agree with me could support you.?

Maybe you could tell us all why we seem to be the only club that is struggling to recruit decent additions to our squad?

We are in disaster mode but can you tell me 2 players from each club in our league players they have transferred in which would have done us good? Signings to me look in the main very average but I'm no expert on stuff outside of town

I don't know but I don't subscribe to any conspiracy theories. Dalek Pete's comments - that we are dipping our toes into new waters trying to get a better class of player, which requires patience - is the most plausible explanation.

spot on. These would be players that would stifle the likes of Gboly and Michael, and yet possess no potential.

I ain't about to go looking through hundreds of transfers this pre season but I'm sure out of them all there would be some that could have improved our squad a that's in our price structure. Don't forget our squad is depleted so it wouldn't be that difficult to improve the squad imo. Cook has added one or two players that wouldn't look out of place in our squad. Forget their names now but the lad from Doncaster springs to mind.

Neither he nor Marshall possess the potential of Gboly, no matter what Bonnyman says.

Jimmy Ryan and SEB remain the best signings in L1, in my opinion.

SEB didn't play last season as he was constantly injured. He has the potential to be one of the best signings but certainly not a form player so it's a gamble. Paul Anderson would have been a great signing, an integral part of the Ipswich side that reached the playoffs and top of the assist charts at the club. Ipswich fans so miffed he was released they started a petition to get him back. Bradford have a pulled off a great signing in him.

fair enough, but that was only 4 days ago. Maybe we waited for him but just missed out. I personally am cautious about signing any winger when we've got Gboly ready to step up.

I see plenty of potential in Ariyibi but Kyle Bennett would have been a great signing.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Are you just as cautious about signing a replacement for Jimmy Ryan?
A new hope.

We have 2 wings, both need filling. And I'm not ready just yet to put all my faith in a largely untried youngster just on the back of a half decent pre season. We need more options if he doesn't deliver.

It's funny you should say that. I think I'm accurate when I say my opinion of Jimmy must have been rose tinted - otherwise he would have received offers he simply couldn't refuse from better clubs. I've not seen enough of Michael yet to know whether he can do the job. Maybe he can if Morsy stays and helps him. However, given that Michael might eventually have an opportunity in Sam's position, I'm not cautious about a replacement for Ryan.

I don't suppose you have seen Donohue yet. He is one to watch if he can hack it defensively.

Best signing in league one in my opinion , not that he would have suited us in our current position, Alfie Mawson (aged 21), centre back signed by Barnsley from Brentford. Played all last season at Wycombe (scoring 6 goals) and swept the board at Wanderers' end-of-season awards ceremony, winning the Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Year awards, in addition to the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association's Player, Young Player and Away Travel Player of the Year awards. He also won the Wycombe Wanderers Independent Supporters' Club Player of the Yea award. He finished third in the running for the League Two Player of the Year award.

If Saunders is in doubt who to pick up from the lower league, always worth a look at the players of the year; supporters are not daft (Darikwa case in point).

Why didn't Donohue play at Hartlepool?
