If you extracted your head from the sand for a moment you might notice that what is happening now ie starting a new season in total disarray, is a direct result of the selling spree that started with Doyle (or Cooper if you prefer). Not sure why you're so sensitive about the point, I'm sure you'll get over it eventually. By the way, I was extremely happy that we made the play-offs, but disappointed that we messed them up mainly because Preston had a clinical striker, and the one who could have made all the difference for us had been sold and not adequately replaced. Now you are as entitled to your opinion as anyone else, but to say that the most prolific striker in the country would probably have made no difference to our results, is clearly far more illogical than saying, as I do, that the most prolific striker in the country probably would have given us more chance of success. Your so - called argument is extremely weak from a logical perspective.
nowt to do with head in the sand, just bored of reading your nonsense!
I'll post no more on the subject, but I am not saying we'd have done worse with Doyle, I'm saying we simply do not know and can not know - the only thing we do know is we did pretty well without him
And we didn't mess up the play offs due to a lack of a clinical striker, we lost because Preston were a better team, which is not surprising considering the money they had chucked at their squad - they finished 20 points above us for a reason!
