If we are not going to get big money for Tenday and Sammy better the devil you know in our push for L1 survival.

Who ever DS has lined up as a possible replacement It has to be a good pedigree to better the 2 current players.
God I hate this league.

 And there lies the problem. We won't replace the likes of Ryan,Clucas,Tendi and Sammy without splashing some cash. Are we prepared to do that?

Cash on wages or cash on transfer fees? I'd guess the former, other clubs will assume we've got a little cash after Clucas transfer - unless there are players in the last year of contracts who we can release with a reasonable bid. Saunders said he was looking at championship players, so I would guess it won't be any that are currently under contract.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

 Yes wages will be the stumbling block for bringing in quality.Length of contract can also go a long way to picking up someone decent. The main bait to getting Lester at the time was a 3 year contract.Of course theres always the chance of picking up a gem to develope but I feel we need somebody who will "hit the ground running" rather than "rough diamond".

Is that right?? IIRC the overall fee we paid for those 4 players combined is 70/90k, whichever one we actually paid the stain for Clucas.

Your post is a complete fallacy.

Decent wages I don't have a problem with, but it's not as though any of those four will be,or were on peanuts.

We paid a fee for Morsy as well as Clucas I am given to understand.

Also, Port Vale have a sell-on clause I believe.

There appears to be a possibility that a bidding war (Preston, Leeds, Brentford + maybe others) could start for Tendayi but, as yet, I have only heard that MK Dons have shown an interest in Sam - it needs more and then we might get their true value.

After all, yes they both only have one year left on their contracts, but if a team want them available to them for the whole of the coming season this should talk the asking price up.

Hopefully, we have got, or will get, sell-on clauses inserted in all recent deals - Cooper, Doyle, Clucas and maybe Darikwa, Morsy and Banks.

Yes, some will even spend in January to make sure they get the right man
