Looks like a problem midfield birth has been filled.

In particular all the young lads looked very comfortable and caused Burnley loads of problems.
God I hate this league.

don't get carried away, lets wait and see who DS signs, and how the side are after 10 league games.
A new hope.

Wigum looked very very good!

Mani and Harrison had the best games I have seen them have, Bolly' s pace and trickery scared them but...

....who is the big French lad who scored the amazing overhead goal? People on this board will be raving about him when they see him!!!

Only a friendly I know but credit to the young lads that came on second half,a very gutsy performance and deserved win.

Friendly or not, they ripped a very good side apart for the whole of the second half. I don't know if Burnley eased off or tired, but they were played off the park.

DS has no option but to come up with a formation that includes Armand. His sheer presence guarantees us possession much further up the field, even if we have to scrap for it.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

He certainly got a pat on the back from me today (not always been convinced but he deserves praise today).

The second half performance was excellent and reminded me of the second half at Buxton a couple of weeks back. I said then that the B team looked more threatening than the A team, they did again today. Mani, Byron, Gboly and Michael all seem to have improved a lot from last season and Armand was unplayable, just hope Goku had the chance to see it <_<

One question though, where was Donohue? DS said he'd signed in his radio interview on Tuesday but no word from the club and he hasn't been involved in either friendly this weekend. Has the deal fallen through?

Why is his ommission an issue, DS wanted to look at the rest of the squad, especially when midfield is a big question.

I usually go to friendlies and watch without much real interest in what's going on. This one was different, a belting good game of football and an excellent performance from Town.
Forever a Spireite left at half time and I bet he's kicking himself hee Hee.

With all the height in the team we might as well change the run out music.
