This deal needs to be tied up quickly, same as Daves move. Then DS can look to sign players and build his side. I'm actually pleased with this deal.

Correct. Good fee and early enough for DS to get the players in he wants before the start of the season. He had a very similar experience at Donny, the year the side he built won the league. A fortnight before the start of the season he hadn't got a team as they were still waiting to unload their big earners, as soon as they did the new players were signed and the league won. Very similar situation here with the outgoings, now this is being resolved the incomings will appear.

Well he doesnt know what he wants because he has clearly said no talks have held place, he's been too busy the last 2 months speaking to our current players, however laughable that is. Its not cherry picking, its reading between the lines and not buying all the positive spin put on by the club. Do you really believe we are on a promotion push this season? 😂

In all of this is assessing what he's got - add to that putting offers to players to increase their stay and it all becomes a long drawn out situation. promotion push is a non starter, after the first 4 games I think everyone including DS will come down to terra firma with a bump.

It's games like today's which I find most interesting. Experimental formations, trying out players in different positions, giving the fringe players a chance to shine before the new signings arrive.
