haha I am surprised by this deal. Excellent business by the club. Hopefully we won't undersell Darikwa now.

It puts us in a far better negotiating position re Tendayi, any buying club knows we are not strapped for cash and won't sell unless they offer a decent price

DS is beginning to worry me. Doesn't seem up to the challenge.2 weeks until the new season and he admits he hasn't spoke to any players yet and doesn't have any targets also, I hear L2 beckoning us

I'm wondering if his heart is really in this job

Perhaps it's really just a hobby to him that provides pin money

Ive got absolutely no problem with our club selling players for reasonable money, ie clucas. What scares the s@@& out of me is how unprepared we are for these imminent departures. Wtaf is DS playing at saying he hasnt even spoken to any transfer targets as of yet?! Actually dreading the start of this season, whats happening to our club 😰

A first 11 against Barnsley with Banks Gboly and Gardner is a worry

I can't be certain but I'm sure DA mentioned in an interview some time ago that he wasn't looking to stay here long term - so the answer would be yes.

Same old same old isn't it....... Funny, we should be used to this kind of crap by now - but somehow one never actually really gets used to it. It always comes as something of a disappointment

If Darikwa & Clucas are sold over the next few days...i just hope to god that DA gives DS a good wedge for us to BUY a few replacements...& quality ones at that.
If not.......this is going to be a long hard season 😒

Mansfield do not have to pay any money to Hereford.
Any sell on due was paid when we purchased Clucas from the Stags

Hereford, or their Receivers, are entitled to a percentage of whatever the Stags get in transfer fees, or fees related, in respect of Clucas - just like we did, and Leeds, with the various Folan deals.

I feared the summer months would go like this, indeed think those up above actually wanted this to happen. For Saunders not to have go-to options at this stage (if true) would be unforgivable.

The only saving grace is that if he ends up with £500k to spend he should be able to bring in five very capable additions.

We really do cherry pick statements that come out of the club don't we?

We have those that reputably don't believe a word that comes out yet those that can pick just one statement and take it as gospel.

DS has also said that he wants to bring in a couple of players and they will be good ones that will improve us - surely he knows who he wants!

Now Clucas is on his way DS is one step closer to knowing who he is keeping and has a good idea of the state of play regarding Darikwa and Morsy.

That's the hope isn't it? Bring in players from clubs below us whose careers are on an upward curve (just as was Clucas's), players whose clubs and supporters would be extremely disappointed to lose.

If these sales go through it's got past the stage where Saunders gets this mythical 30% he should getting 70% for squad building on these latest transfers.

Mind you it's only a matter of time before someone says, wait to October and give it to a proper manager
