Last big money sale was replaced by Harrison before we all get giddy.

Oh and Mani, how'd I manage to forget him.

"As yet unnamed" we're your words, which suggests they've not been named yet, not that you knew but weren't letting on, apologies if I misunderstood.

Anyhow, who it is is irrelevant to my point, how do you get pre warning of an impending bid? Surely if a club says "we intend to bid £500k for your player next week" then surely that is, in effect, a bid in itself?

The uncharacteristic cautiousness of your post suggest either your info is from a different source to normal and they are not certain, or maybe your are unsure if your sources reliability so are covering yourself. Either way, you are never normally as careful or crpytic nor usually far off the truth either.

And I have absolutely no interest in cricket, so wasn't there, sorry!

No need to apologise, 'SS', though I do think you're making summat out of nowt.

I was simply passing on something I've been told, nothing more or less.

As always.

The transfer fees will be instalments so the profit will be over a set period

How will the monies awarded to The Community Hub be shown in the accounts, wasn't that about a million and there's a good chunk of the debt. Not all the losses are down to mis management more like the size of the debt is covering many areas. Are free of all financial committment to the Village and we were told that things will be happening up at the cylinders very soon.
God I hate this league.

I think we all understand that money coming into the club is used in different areas, but interestingly you say.."not all the losses are down to mismanagement ".. Tbh none should be, and if they are and happen more than once then action needs taking I would think.

Isn't the hub separate? They fund themselves, and pay rent to the club?
A new hope.

It's separate but we funded or part funded the fitting out etc. DA commented it would be good to see monies coming the other way.

I asked a Forest-supporting mate and he confirmed that the transfer embargo is still in place- they can't pay fees for anyone, which means they can't bid for Clucas as he is under contract.
These go to eleven.

The Club built the shell for The HUB as part of the agreement over CFSS paying proceeds of the sale of 240k shares to Mr Allen directly to CFC2001. The only costs for the Club in the fit out were landlord costs as the leaseholder. The almost £1m to fill the facility was raised by the charity.

Well I work in what should be a scab stronghold but the football minded(????) amongst the work force are all forest fans (in the vain hope of glory maybe) and they don't appear to have a clue what day it is

To be fair, they probably realise that Belper is not in Sheffield.

Pete

How solvent is the Hub? Does The Den and the health centre etc generate enough to fund it to a decent level?

Also, what's the clubs commitment in terms of provision of the building, ie could the club, should it wish, "pull the plug" so to speak should it feel the hub isn't either fulfilling so it's commitment to the club or that the space could be better utilised by the club for something else. Given the clubs focus on non match day activities and KF scrutiny of other income streams I'm sure it's been looked at.
