Its just unfortunate that at the time Strauss has got his first chance to sort it officially, in his second day on the job when others should have done it ages ago, KP finally got his head out of his bottom to score some runs although lets not forget its against Leicestershire! A side who finally won a CC game after 2+ years last week and have been whipping boys over that time.

Had KP gone out and done this towards the end of last summer when it all kicked off initially then there would have been pressure but he took the whine and whinge approach with his buddy Piers Morgan as chief cheerleader. Since getting dropped until yesterday he's hardly shoved it down the ECBs throats by scoring runs galore. Also just out of interest i had a look at his last few test appearances....in his last 15 test innings he's scored 484 runs at just over 30....is that so much better than anyone else has done recently to warrant all the fuss? His season before this innings has seen scores of 19, 53, 32 & 8!

Due to an annoying double booking of ourselves, had to rearrange our holiday so now out of the country, i've got two tickets for Day 3 of the Ashes test at Edgbaston on July 31st for sale. Looking for face value which was £81 each ideally....they were bought in the members pre sale so are good seats in the Raglan Stand.

Let me know if you are interested.

Good weekend for Hundall this weekend. Beat Collegiate Saturday and Anston on sunday.

Also, Saturday saw the first Hundall player score a ton since 2011, followed by another on the Sunday!

Another win for our IIs on Saturday, but another defeat on my guest appearance for the first team.

Your firsts havent got going at all yet have they?

First defeat of the season for us at Staveley in a close game. Did well to put 202 on the board but the middle overs of their innings lost it for us despite a good start and finish from us. Still sit nicely in second place though.

So England set 455 to win...with a bit of rain about today and tomorrow in Leeds i wonder if the media love in about Mccullums captaincy will be any different and he'll get slated for setting such a big total we had no chance of getting if they dont bowl us out. Had Cook carried on batting this morning setting going past a 400 lead he gets all sorts of grief about being negative.

Hardly. They'd have had what....an hour....if he'd set a lower total. If they lose a chunk of play tomorrow he could have declared first thing this morning it wouldn't make a difference.

Just think that with the potential weather around as shown yesterday when they lost around 5hrs play it wont take a lot today for them to be struggling time wise. Teams dont generally chase 350 let alone 450! In the words of Mr Boycott during the Lords test when they were moaning about England batting on "you need to be prepared to lose to win" and with NZ needing the win i just thought they could have gone a bit earlier.

Don't want to get ahead of ourselves as its only one innings but a seriously good batting display by England today. Good start then recovered a shakey spell.

I've not watched it, more following it from work but it's the way you need to play now. Aggressive cricket. Go hard early and keep going!

I wouldn't mind if I had the flexibility to get the time off. Plenty of tickets left looking online.
