Not sure how this works and how the age groups extend from one group into the other but if the academy is for youth team players and the development set-up for boys, then surely scouting the young kids for development should see and hopefully attract local talent anyway. Why would you want two separate scouting systems scouring the same area ?

I've watched training at Shirebrook ( development ?) and young kids from as far away as Leicester there which surprised me.
