Most of the seats now are either single or front row seats. I suspect many will be waiting for blocks E1 and E2 to open up. The single seats will prob go and it will more or less sell out

Do you know the reason for holding them back if they were never going to be given to Preston?

So as E1 & E2 (1000) are not yet available as it stands
East 83 seats
Kop 23 seats
West 90 seats

196 seats left + E1&E2
= 1196 left out of 8000 so we've sold 6804

Bearing in mind that everyone had to buy tickets, we're going to have over 9000 including the Preston fans.
Do people really think that's bad, considering it is on TV and a school night???
I think it's really good personally

If we don't sell out for this I think it's poor, and I don't really get why people keep going on about it being a school night. We don't get threads full of people moaning about school nights before every Tuesday night match.
It's a massive game for the club, and if we don't sell out the home tickets its cast iron proof, if it were ever needed, that the ground is the right size for us and any expansion would be a waste of money.
All that said I can't wait, my daughter and all her mates at Brookfield are up for it as well, school night or not.
If you do what you always do, you'll get what you always get.

Just 200 seats left , excepting E1 and 2 which will surely be released tomorrow...very close to a sell out I'd imagine.

I can't see us selling many more, surely by now most will have purchased tickets who want them.

Best we can hope for now is they make tickets available right up to kick off for both sides and that attracts a few more floaters.

Although with the gate Money from all 5 play off games pooled and shared equally it won't make that much difference to how much we make from making it to the play offs (except if we do go up, obviously)

But home gates midweek games are always down on comparative Saturday games so it must be a factor for some people.

It's not a joke. It's reality. This is Chesterfield FC not some former top flight sleeping giant. You can't just shake a tree and make 8000 fans fall out of it week in week out you know. For a town of our size it would take years of success and good football to get 8000 regulars. In just 4 years we have gone from less than 4000 home fans to over 4400 ST.

I stand to be corrected but I think Rotherham pull in around 8k home fans and were getting less than our Saltergate crowds only 3 seasons ago at don valley.

You get about 2.1k which is 10% of the current capacity due to the segregation etc.

This is a picture of the away stand from Rotherham at Home last year, Rotherham on the right and PNE on the left. You'll get a similar section.

Why don't they let people sit on bill shankly's face?

Way OTT amount of segregation, OK so Rotherscum are not exactly angels but looks like you were expecting Millwall from the 80s

Look at somewhere like Arsenal, seemingly a small fence between rival fans, why do PNE assume fans within about 50 feet of each other will want to instigate a full scale riot?

A line of stewards and about four seats is enough at the countries biggest grounds yet lower down the leagues you get seats lost when sides have their own stands. Madness.

Sorry to split hairs but what ACTUALLY A C T U A L L Y is the capacity - originally 10500 less 150 front seats = 10350 so we have sold around 7150ish so far?

150 seats from both the North stand and the Kop
I was taking 10000 as a rough number, as we have lost some seats due to the sky cameras, usually our full capacity is nearer 10200
