East 83 seats
Kop 23 seats
West 90 seats
196 seats left + E1&E2
= 1196 left out of 8000 so we've sold 6804
Bearing in mind that everyone had to buy tickets, we're going to have over 9000 including the Preston fans.
Do people really think that's bad, considering it is on TV and a school night???
I think it's really good personally

The game being live on Sky is a major factor.

Got to disagree....personally I find the fact that we can't shift 8000 tickets for one of the biggest games in the club's history appalling!

That said if we have any ambitions of obtaining/sustaining championship football you need the financial support brought by bums on seats.
Massive game and we can't shift 8000 kind of tells me some peoples expectations about budgets and players wages (particularly on here) need tempering big time!

It's not a joke. It's reality. This is Chesterfield FC not some former top flight sleeping giant. You can't just shake a tree and make 8000 fans fall out of it week in week out you know. For a town of our size it would take years of success and good football to get 8000 regulars. In just 4 years we have gone from less than 4000 home fans to over 4400 ST.

I dont want to be negative but you have asked a question so here iscmy answer;
This is the nearest the Club has been to second tier football in thirty odd years. The Championship is of a standard now in my opinion to compare with the Premier in rhe early nineties. Its our ultimate promised land and we sit and moan and bitch about backing the Manager and funds etc etc but ..........
To not sell 8000 tickets for this match is very very very dissapointing And when DA looks at investment he will look at nights like this and make judgement on future investments.
Its what all good business people do.
To counter the balance congratulations to all those amazing fans whe have followed CFC away from home this season.
To have an average of 1000 is pretty bl@@dy awesome
Anyway lets hope we see an epic victory on Thursday so we can say we we there

So far we have sold nearly 7000 tickets, this is at a time when people are paying for their season tickets, it is extra to everybody. There are also quite a few people that seem to have booked holidays, knowing that we'd never reach the play offs.
I think if we get 7500 home fans, on a school night, with the match on Sky we'll have done really well.

Sorry to split hairs but what ACTUALLY A C T U A L L Y is the capacity - originally 10500 less 150 front seats = 10350 so we have sold around 7150ish so far?

Just 200 seats left , excepting E1 and 2 which will surely be released tomorrow...very close to a sell out I'd imagine.
